I really like the way Mr. Tombs gets your attention right away and you just don't want to put the book down until you find out who commited the crime.

Has become one of two of my favorite series the other being Ian Rutledge. What makes them tops in addition to good and interesting characters and mystery plots is no sex and vulgarity.

Kerry Tombs was born in Smethwick in 1945, and after a career in teaching in both England and Australia, moved to Malvern in 1982, where he became a genealogist, lecturer and bookseller.
