Brooks Haxton is one of my favorite poets, and the son of one of my favorite fiction writers Ellen Douglas (or Josephine Haxton). I bought this book when he came through Seattle to read from Fragments: The Collected Wisdom of Heraclitus. It is a book I keep going back to and dipping in. I find him, and his books, inspiring. He is brilliant but humble. A quote from his talk, "From the strain of binding opposites comes harmony." He knows Greek history and he might have been quoting from More...
