So hip it hurts

Want to know what'll be hot next season? Just ask Mim Warner, the best coolhunter in the business. But Mim's latest trend predictions ("slut" T-shirts for eight-year-old girls? Samurai swords for ten-year-old boys?) are troubling, to say the least.

Fearing that Mim's about to be out like last season's Capri pants and worried about what she'll say next, her st

I have to admire the author's attention to detail and imagination in creating this one. It's packaged as chick lit but really reminded me of Mr. Penumbra's 24 Hour Bookstore, just written a decade earlier with a female protagonist.

sooooooooo boring, bad-written and annoying ! You keep expecting things to happen but nothing does... You can't identify with the characters (well, I couldn't!).....
Fun fluff with the *just* missed potential to be something better. Still an author I'll come back to, both for fluff and to see if she expands some of her good ideas.

This is a decent book. Not offensive, not memorable. It suffers from too many plot cliches, the boss no one can question, the long time friend who is really an jealous enemy and the photographer husband who sleeps with his models.
While the plot was quite slow, the characters were amazingly well developed and made me want to read the sequel, which I don't think there is. :) To see my full review, visit:

Silly book - I could not get into it the first time around and neither now! Hopefully someone in the second hand book shop might like it.

Liked the story line, but the text dragged on at a few points. Suspense + chick-lit combined
A cute, predictable read. But I really liked the last sentence. :)
