"Real life was messy. Sloppy bathrooms I could handle. Love I could not."

For thirty-three-year-old Cassie Hayes, life is about to get messier. She can't cook, unless you count coffee as a meal (she does). She can't commit (just ask her ex-husband). She drinks too much (tequila for breakfast). Of course, she has guided her share of authors to the bestseller list for the lit

Spanish Disco is about a woman named Cassie Hayes who lives in Boca Raton, Florida, who is dealing with her bosses demands for her to go get the story on the life an old author by the name of Ronald Riggs. While dealing with knowing what she wants far as commitment & drinking to much alcohol in the morning like it's a breakfast meal. While living with Ronald Riggs to get the story her boss wants she learns something a little bit more than just a man who wrote a book like his maid who cooks s ...more

This title is hugely misleading! I thought it took place in Spain! maybe they went to some discos! Maybe there was some travel or mention of Spanish. No, no, no and no. It is basically about a JD Salinger type who is secretly in love with his Mexican housekeeper who likes to dance. That does not equal Spanish disco. The book was fair and I finished it but it was not what I was hoping to read.

Add one more to the "I loved it!" crowd! Oh, Cass - so strong and so desperate at the same time. I really enjoyed the relationship with her father and her several father figures. It was funny to try and figure out the real authors Orloff is describing...

Raise a glass to sap (and get Cassie a dose of homeopathic Nux vomica!)

This one was okay. Not anything I'll rave about, but interesting enough to keep me reading. Good characters, not your typical chick lit book.

An okayish book that got the three stars more for the fact that I read it during a book slum than the fact that the book was actually good.

A very fun, very quick read. (I read it in one day)
One of the better chick-lit books that I have read recently...
