This was a remnant from my days of actually studying psychology. This casebook is excellent and each case provides enough of a narrative to be enjoyed by professionals the curious alike. Previously I had been suggesting the DSM-IV-TR Case Studies to friends looking to flesh out diagnostic descriptions but this text may actually be the better collection of cases.

Engrossing. I blew through this in two days. It's an almost voyeristic peek in to disfunctional lives. Since these are case histories, they often do not have resolutions. I'm still wondering what happened to some of the people profiled in the DSM-IV.

It's a good book to study for the big bad test. After you're familiar with the DSM IV TR and even then you might miss something. These are complex cases.

Great descriptions of case application of the DSM-IV-TR. Great for studying in preparation for my licensing exam.

I read this for entertainment purposes but by the end I was diagnosing cases correctly. Interesting and often tragic.
