I love reading a book and then discovering it has sequels. This is one of those books and unfortunately, the sequels were not on my list so I have to wait until the next library trip to get them.

The fact that I remember so much about this book is a testament to how well the charachters were written, to the interesting plot, and to what was a unique mystery for me.
I read this book with my daughter a number of years ago and we both enjoyed it. SHe was a really well read elementary student and I just happen to still enjoy reading as if I was one, sometimes, lol.
I would highly recommend this book to a fourth or fifth grade student or as a book to be read with a More...

An 11 year old girl named Allie has been experiencing strange happenings at school, home, and near Fossil Glen. She has come to the conclusion that she is being visited by a ghost her age named Lucy. Lucy gives signs and clues to what Allie must do, so Lucy can rest in peace. Allie also finds Lucy's diary and it tells how, when, and who murdered her.

Final book for library book group with Maren. She loved it, and I can see why. It reminded me in style of the Boxcar Children books that I read when I was a kid. A straightforward mystery, with a protagonist akin to the kid who'd be reading the book. Seemed a little formulaic, but that's probably part of the appeal. Throw in ghosts, and you've got a hit. Maren read until late in the night to finish, then got online and reserved all the other books in this series.

Hanging on the side of a cliff, literally, eleven-year-old Allie hears a voice in her mind telling her to let go. She trusts the voice and does so. This starts a series of similar paranormal events which lead Allie to believe that she's communicating with the ghost of a girl who disappeared four years earlier in her small town.

Im at the Part When Allie found Lucy Stiles diary.... Its a really cool book! I was reading "The Ghost And Ms Hobbs" After i read it i found out that there was a first book.. By reading the second book before the fisrt book, It kinda gave some stuff away burt its good so far. I cant wait to finish this book so i can Read the other ones! Amazing, amazing book no matter how old you are. Granted, I read this book when I was in 5th grade, but that does not take away that this book is purely magnificent and truly is for all ages. At some point while I was reading the book, I thought "what in the hell is this book doing in our school library". It really is fantastic, and if you don't give it a go - you're missing out big time.

It was a thrilling murder mystery!!!!!I give it two thumbs and two big toes up!! I found it in the library and I liked the idea that it was about a ghost. This book is fiction that takes place in the present day in a fictional town. The most important character is Lucy Stiles, the ghost. I would recommend it to friends and I would read other books by this author.

summary: Allie cant believe that there's a ghost trying to get her help to catch the greedy criminal who killed her. She keeps getting clue until she finds out who it is, but the hard part for her is to prove it to the police, but thats taken care for her.

The fact that this is one of the only books I remember quite well from elementary school (I am a senior in college currently) should be evidence to great a story this is. I remember not being able to tear myself away from the storyline and that I was almost breathless at some parts.
