I remember reading Andries as a girl, but I sadly do not remember the details! I need to dig this out of my childhood books at my mom's house and give it a reread and then I will come back and give it a worthy review!

Born February 9, 1908, in Rotterdam, Netherlands, Hilda van Stockum was a noted author, illustrator and painter, whose work has won the Newbery Honor and the National Conference of Christians and Jews Brotherhood Award.
