‘Much Obliged, Jeeves’ brings the two longest running sagas through the Jeeves and Wooster stories together. The oldest saga being that of Bertie being obliged to become engaged to the dreadful Florence Crane if she breaks her engagement which was featured in the first, although not first written, story ‘Jeeves Takes Charge’ (from ‘Carry On Jeeves’) and continued through the novels, ‘Joy in the Morning’ and ‘Jeeves and the Feudal Spirit’ where it first collided with the Madel...more

Not one of the best Wodehouses ever (though of course as felicitously written as ever), but it did what it was supposed to do, i.e. comfort me after three days of torturing myself with Thomas Hardy. Ugh. References to Bertie's Scripture Knowledge Prize unusually frequent.

I will use this "review" for all the P. G. Wodehouse I have read. I read them all so long ago and enjoyed them so much that I have given them all 5 stars. As I re-read them I will adjust the stars accordingly, if necessary, and add a proper review.
