I actually loved this book. It explained to me a lot of my teenage years I was going through and made sense of some of the problems I and my friends have to deal with everyday. I feel as if I will use some of the information in here in order to improve my own life and make these hard few years easier.

I bought this book as a pre-emptive measure for my 12-year-old and she loves it. I find her reading it all the time, and the binding is worn after only two weeks. I skimmed if myself and it's good advice from a child psychologist. If you are trying to shelter your kids from the world, this is not the book for you. It confronts real adolescent issues head on. It's just the right companion for my own parenting style.

I LOVE LOVE this book. If I can still find this book when my daugther/son is a teenager, they're getting it as gift for their 12th birthday! The author is awesome and truthful, yet does it in a teen-friendly manner.
