Good book. Mercedes is helping Scott's teenage half sister. Gemma needs a place to stay, but Scott has already said no once. When Mercedes confronts him, he is somewhat distracted by an attraction to her and ends up letting Gemma stay. As Scott will only be there six more weeks, he figures he can handle it. If you read the back cover copy for this book, you'll think it's all about Mercedes. It's not. This is Scott's book. He reaches rock-bottom and has to find a way to climb back out.
This was a great book it took you into what a paramedic actually would feel like. It made you think wow what if this happened in real life.
I LOVED this book! It is a favorite from this series!
