Am not a marketing professional but many of the points here tied up with what I saw my marketing counterparts do. And a lot of the advice is backed up with examples, anecdotes and frameworks which drive home the point without being pedantic. For example, comparing a new market entrant with a burgler in the home-your response varies if it is a minor unarmed kid or a violent criminal(aka non serious entrant vs a deep pockets one)!
