Another compelling novel from Cantore. I love how she intersperses police details without overwhelming. And since she was a cop herself, you know they're accurate. Here's an inside glimpse into the life of a female cop, both professional and personal. With more than a dash of romance, this one's sure to police romantic suspense fans. (Though for those who aren't as into the romance, it's not heavy handed.)

Cantore’s sophomore novel showcases some impressive writing skills. With detailed crime scene scenarios and a faith message to warrant a few tissues, I was taken aback by the depth of emotion both on the page and off. Her obvious experience as a veteran police officer is evident on all accounts. Abducted played out in my mind like a movie—a terrifying one. The detail and precision of each character’s thoughts and movements throughout the story kept me riveted to the page.

Carly and Nick have tru

This was a good police story, but the other parts of the book were just to perfect... Everything fell into place unlike real life... The police drama had some good twists though... (maybe 3.5 stars)

This is the first book by Janet Cantore that I've read. Abducted picks up Carly Edwards' story that began in Accused.

What I liked: This is the first Christian Fiction crime novel (besides Vanetta Chapman's Amish crime series), and I have to say that I was impressed! Ms. Cantore's experience as a cop definitely shows in this book. I wasn't able to read the first book in this series, but I am trying to find it so I can read it! Abducted is a great book that gives interesting insight on how police and public safety deal with the scary situation of child kidnapping. Definitely a good read for girls considering a

Satisfying Read With Plot Twists

There is a nice balance in the book between character development, plot development, secondary plot lines, plot twists, police procedural, the mystery, and real world Christian living. No stereotypes here. If some plot threads seem resolved too quickly, look again. It is clear we enter the story in the middle of the action, which keeps going, and keeps us tapping through e-pages all the way to the end. Incidentally, the tunnel briefly mentioned? My first ever police novel that I've read. Another keeper for on my shelf. I loved it from beginning to the end. The only drawback was that as it is the second book in the series, I didn't have any background of the characters.
When Carly's partner's wife lands in the hospital with a mysterious illness, she tries to help out wherever she can. On thing she didn't count on was getting her partner Joe's son back for him. The four month old baby was kidnapped right under hospital personnel.
