I’d always enjoyed science until I reached seventh grade where the teaching methods totally turned me off. A few years back, I started reading books like this and watching science television programs such as NOVA and listening to radio programs such as Science Friday that helped me begin enjoying science again. Dictionary of Scientific Literacy is a great book for all ages as it defines terms in a language that even elementary students can appreciate.
