If you have read my reviews or taken a look at my bookshelves, you may have noticed that this isn't my usual "mind popcorn" fare. In fact my mind popcorn tastes tend to run along the lines of historical fiction or Amish fiction. You know, books like "The Mail Order Amana Amish Shaker Brides of Lancaster County" or "Coming Back Home for Plain Winter Christmas at the Regency Inn." Fun stuff like that. I don't go in for all this modern stuff.

But I wanted something to read that I could carry with me

its amazing how schmidt could write about faith and how it does marvels in our lives when she herself is being tested for how strong her faith is.
