This is a beautifully written book about a boy who rides on the Santa boat to be with his father and sister, who is sick in the hospital, for Christmas. He helps Santa deliver presents to children in remote places on the west coast who wouldn't have any as they ride to Victoria Island where he meets up with his family at the hospital. This story gives the reader a feel for the beautiful west coast of Canada, BC.
