Heath delivers another novel that defines romance and renders me truly speechless with her storytelling.

Moving and beautiful. Grade A because even with few trivial 'bumps' and a fantastical plot, this novel provides great emotional impact and reminds me why I love reading romance. It left me with bittersweet feelings after having to close this book as I had to leave the lovers to live their HEA.
I'm fond of Lorraine Heath's romantic westerns, and I though this was another solid entry.

Lee Raven's parent's and older brother were hanged to steal their land by a corrupt community leader. At fifteen he murdered the criminal responsible and has been on the run for the next five years.

He finds our blind heroine who knows who he is. He takes her along (ie kidnaps on impulse) because he doesn't know she's blind and thinks she will identify him.

On the trail together they start to fall in love. S
Very good story, I would recommend reading the Rogues in Texas series first but it is not absolutely necessary.
There were so many of the old HR cliche's in here, blind h, H was abducted as a child, H was on the lamb for murder and facing a hanging. Secret babies... but it was all a great romp anyways. IMHO, you just can't go wrong with Lorraine Heath!

This is a super good book,,and even tho it says it`s #1,it has to be the sequel to Never Marry a Cowboy because Kit Montgomery and his wife are in it.It ends with Kit`s son that is going to England to be the Earl of Ravenlegh-5*

I started this book not expecting to be riveted by the plot, character and the shear beauty of the romance. Haven't cried this much in awhile!
I adored this book and its characters. I probably won't continue with the series, though, because it doesn't look like it sticks with the same family, which is disappointing. I wanted to know what happened with Juanita.
I love all of her books. If you are looking for an easy read, romance then she is great for you.
Oh what a pleasant surprise this was! My first historical/western romance and I LOVED it. And it became my favorite Lorraine Heath book so far. I don't like to give spoilers but let me tell you there are several surprises on this book. Angela is not your average heroine. She has a disability but she is as independent and strong as she can possibly be. And the delicious outlaw Lee Raven turns out to be someone else. By the end of the story, everything you thought at the beginning of the story end ...more
There's a robbery happening in Fortune, Texas, and by starting this book, you're placing yourself right in the middle of it. You aren't
the only one. Angela Bainbridge was there within feet of the bank when the
robbery happened, and the guy who planned the heist knows he has to get her
out of the witness chain. It's only after he kidnaps her that he realizes
she is blind and that his intense efforts to get her secluded so she
couldn't tell the Texas Rangers who had done the robbery were all futile.

Daughters of Fortunes #1.

The Outlaw and The Lady bercerita mengenai anaknya Harrison dan Jessye. Berhubung aku lupa soal mereka, jadilah aku baca buku ini. Pas sebutin soal Grayson, aku sudah curiga. Sebutin Kit, makin curiga lagi.

Ak ...more

Well, your typical well-written historical wild west romance, with hero abducting a heroine, falling in love with her and reforming to live happily ever after without marshals pursuing them :)
I listened to this on audiobook and it was a long slog of a book. I could barely stand it, although the narrator did a really good job with the Mexican accents, but she made Lee sound like a young boy and I just could not get into his character one single bit. Plus it was irksome the way she made Angela's mother's voice have an English accent, when she is a former saloon owner who grew up in Texas! Didn't the narrator know what the background was of Angels's mother? Really annoyed me! Plus the s ...more
Terrible. Basic, no intricacy, no depth. Can't finish.
Not a bad story. Romance set in early Texas. A bit predictable, but still entertaining. Lee Raven kidnaps Angela when she accidentally bumps into him while he's robbing a bank. Worried she'll identify him, he takes her with him when he and his brothers flee. Angela, however, is blind. Too late to return her to her home, Lee brings her to his home. Of course, they fall in love. And then Lee has to face up to his past. He wants to protect everyone he loves. Angela wants to help him, to be a vital ...more
Oh I love this story...
This has been their destiny to meet and fall in love.

This must b a very early book of Lorraine Heath's. I am an avid fan of Lorraine's, and normally rate her books 5 stars, but sorry, this one is not for me. I couldn't identify with the H & H and found her writing a bit boring and long winded. From this one taste, I will not be looking for any of her earlier books, just her recent ones, which I love.

Thought it was a different book, but it was a good story. It was much racier than I like though. The story made me think of A Gown of Spanish Lace (The Janette Oke Collection) but much, much, racier.

Lorraine Heath has always had a soft spot for emotional love stories. No doubt because growing up, watching movies with her mom, she was taught that the best movies "won't half make you cry."

She is the daughter of a British beauty (her mom won second place in a beauty contest sponsored by Max Factor during
