David I more than like your stories I love them! I have read MANY zombie books & you are the 1st that I have read from the POV that you came from! You are one the 1st zombie books I actually read & still through ALL the other books yours still stands out & I love it! you created not only characters that seem like they are real life people but you made some so horrible I want to reach through the freaking screen & smack or shoot which ever is good lol or characters that I grew so ...more

I understand the different approach that the author took in this book and appreciate the change. I honestly just got a little bored with the conversations between characters. That was mainly the reason I had a hard time getting through the book. The constant planning between each of the characters just didn't keep my attention. That may be my own fault though. The politics and the military planning, which I know are necessary in a crisis, just bore me in any story. So, it may just be my taste ...more

Deluge the Dead returns to the form shown ion the first book of the series. Gone is all the nitty gritty details of the organisation of the flotilla that seemed to dominate book two. What we have here is the return of some good ole fashion Zombie bashing fun. I could literally see the pink mist as zombie after zombie lost their heads. Chuck in a bunch of surf Nazis who dream to pirates and what you have is a shining example of great Zombie yarn. The author uses the surf Nazis to show the dark ...more

It took me a mere two days to read all three books of the Sovereign Spirit Saga. Once I picked them up, you couldn't tear me away! Let's get real, I bet this series makes each of you muse over what you would spend your hundreds of millions on should you ever hit the megabucks. The plot is straightforward. Scott, a family man, hits the lottery in a big way. You know boys and their toys. He purchases an old cruise liner and retrofits it to be the ultimate party boat. We're talking helicopters, ...more

A fantastic thrilling ride in the third book of the Sovereign Spirit saga! Having massively enjoyed the first two books, "Voyage of the Dead" and "Flotilla of the Dead" I have been eagerly waiting to read "Deluge of the Dead" to find out what happens next to Commodore Scott Allen, his family and the crews of the Sovereign Spirit and the people of the safe haven set up in Long Beach harbour following the devastating world wide outbreak of the super rabies virus that has caused much of the worlds ...more

What a great third book in the Sovereign Spirit Saga! It was all consuming with a continuation of action, emotion highs and lows, new challenges, and new villains. And you thought that the zombie apocalypse was an end of the world event. Apparently, there are things that are worse....a lot worse.

I'm still a big fan of Mr. Forsyth's writing and was transfixed, reading this third installment in one sitting! The determination and perseverance of the characters that I've grown to love was absolutel

Overall, I thought this was the best of the series. Although... the first chapter was so horrific to me that I "almost" did not continue reading. Once I calmed myself enough to continue I thought the rest of the story line was amazing! Thank you, David, for awesome women warriors such as Blade! And thanks for Carl as he's my favorite character! I was very upset about Scott and all that happened to him.

I will definitely be continuing with the Sovereign Spirit Saga. Can't wait for book 4!!

Once again, I was up into the wee hours of the morning to finish the book, because I couldn't put it down.

Although I enjoyed it thoroughly, this book was much darker than the previous two and lacked a lot of the humor they had, which I missed. And the big baddie we want to hate here is a human being, although there is enough zombie action for all.

And a few more questions to keep the story going. So now I go back into wait mode for the next book. AGAIN! :)

An enjoyable read

While I enjoyed book 3 I was not thrilled with how abruptly it ended. I enjoy cliffhangers as much as anyone but this book was more like a drop off a cliff. Still looking forward to seeing where the story goes from here though.

By far the bast of the three so far. Don't get me wrong; it's not great literature, but finally not everything is going the way the oh-so perfect main character wants, and there are actual meaningful female characters in this installment.
