Family life would never be the same for many families in Hull after the heavy bombing, especially for Marie and her family. I enjoyed this book. It tells of struggles and hardships of friends and family's during what must have been a dreadful time. it was easy to become involved with the characters and the events of that time. I must say I was hoping for a different ending though. I think I may have found another author that I really want to read more from.
