More than just a field guide, this extensive and beautifully illustrated book provides a short course in oceanography. I had wanted to pick up a guide to tropical fish and corals the last time I visited the Caribbean, and I'm so glad I didn't just make an impulse buy of one of the stock field guides stocked in many shops down there.
