My son loved this book, to the extent that he told one of his preschool teachers that it was his favorite book. Right now he just generally loves anything firefighter-related so this is a no brainer, but this one is pretty different.
I personally find it a bit obnoxious, but appreciate the premise. Basically, the book is filled with firefighter jargon and then at the back there's a glossary. He likes having me look up the unfamiliar lingo in the back. From the perspective of our word- and dictio

The language in this book is a little hard to follow but the end has a handy dictionary for all of the firefighter language. A nice book for kids to be informed about all that firefighters do.

This is good for kids that would find fireman jargon interesting, but if the child isn't into firemen, they'd probably get frustrated with the lingo.

Kids who love firemen will learn lots of jargon from this. And the pictures are cute. But frankly, I'd have preferred human beings to rhinos....
