Concrete is not usually a material associated with the home crafter, but here it is exploited for its malleability and ability to produce large scale items with ease. If you have a big garden and like making things you would love this book. If you are thinking on an extra source of income, I would think any local garden centre would jump at the chance to sell these unusual, useful and artistic ornaments. here would be amongst the most desirable garden ornaments in a garden centre.

Creative and practicable ideas! I am still working out the logistics of creating some of the wonderful pieces I would like to make. Like... space to work , getting small-ish quantities of supplies (concrete, granite dust ) to start small and learn the techniques. Love this book!

I was interested to read about how concrete ornaments are made because I have bought 2 birdbaths and a stepping stone at Lily Fest. I think the artists who sold them to me didn't make enough money after seeing how much work they went to in making the objects! I will be even more appreciative of their efforts after reading this book!

I read Sherri's other book and want to work with concrete. It seems like a good winter project.
I'm especially taken with Elder Jones' work found here:
www.sandpudding.com
Sherri talks about Elder's planters which I love.
