In death, he finally found something to live for. Lou Collins is caught in a cyclical curse of violent, gruesome deaths and new beginnings in the bodies of strangers. With no clue why, Lou desperately searches for a way to break the curse and cross over peacefully to the other side. Then equally doomed Ella comes along. It's a love story to die for.

A vůbec mu to nejde.
Ano, nespletl jsem se. Lou Collins je mrtvý. A to opakovaně.
Než odporným a bolestivým způsobem umře.

A takhle přátelé vypadá romantický comics. Protože Lou potká Ellu, která má ten samý problém.
Jenže dokážou se milenci pokaždé najít v jiných tělech a

Reason for Reading: OK, I admit it. I like death stories and this sounded fun; plus I've read vol. 1 of the author's Peter Panzerfaust which I enjoyed so I looked forward to reading the author again.

I kind of feel embarrassed giving this five stars but honestly, I simply loved it! With a sub-title of "A love story to die for" it sounds a little cheesy but I really enjoyed myself and love how the author turned a quite graphically violent story into one about redemption that had some real insight

Really creative and, ultimately, sweet graphic novel that was funny, inventive, and a cool look at life and death. The blood-and-guts element is to be expected given that the main characters move from body to body as each previous one dies. But if you don't like to look at things like entrails flying through the air or severed heads, this isn't for you. I don't like those sorts of things, but I enjoyed the story so much that I made it through those pages with an "EWWW!" and was fine :)

The art is

...more

Great premise but unsatisfying execution. It felt more like an outline than a finished story. Economics probably limited how many issues he was allowed to tell the story in, but they just weren't enough. Also not sure how many readers would be attracted to both the story and the art. Not the drawing in general, which was fine, but the over-the-top gore. It was too tongue-in-cheek to be outright unpleasant but it didn't really fit the mood of the rest.

Grim Leaper is a one-volume story that I wish it could have more. It's a soft reading when compared to Morning Glories, but not less beautiful. It's a love story about two people who die all the time. With each death the plot thickens and you know more about the main characters. The deaths and drawings are amazing. I'm in love. :,)

The art in this is really unique and a odd fit that works perfectly for how gory this book is. My favorite love story of all time.

Intriguing story premise, but unfortunately it's never given the space within the book to develop.
