3 Stars! Okay, but it needed something more!

This was sort of like an angelic take on The Lone Ranger and Superman. Didn't quite understand the whole masked man thing. It was a short, so I have to cut the author some slack as far as character development and plot goes. It just didn't grab me like I hoped it the cover did...5 stars for the cover!!

I might try another one in the series, maybe the next one will be better.

Kendall Glynn witness the suicide of her co-report during a live newscast. She watches her friends eyes white over, grab a pen and jab himself in the jugular. Horrified why her friend would do such a thing, Kendall's investigative tendencies take over. Her research into this bizarre behavior leads Kendall into a world she never new existed and gives her with more unanswerable questions.

Looking for a little superhero in your romance novel? Want a little Lois and Clark action? Well, look no further than Nobody’s Angel by Stacy Gail. It has all of that AND a super secret fortress!!!

We meet Kendall Glynn. She’s an investigative journalist. Now, I would imagine that writing a sympathetic investigative journalist is a pretty tough job. Usually,

I have a deep, dark secret to admit to. Prepare yourself. I am smitten. Both with Stacy Gail's writing and the fact that the beautiful man on the cover of this book is not waxed to within an inch of his life. *swoon* Also, his wings are kinda awesome.

Now, Kendall and Zeke have this smoldering longing going on. The type that makes you want them to smoosh together in a small, enclosed space and possibly get sweaty. Or just kiss. Whichever. They have the sneaking looks and the throbbing loins and a

I went into this with low expectation and I have to say I came out the other side pleasantly surprised, this book is quite a little gem. I have heard next to nothing about it and am glad that I took the chance and requested a review copy from Netgalley.

Nobody’s Angel is one of those books that just seem to get everything right. It was just the right length, its plot kept me entertained and I didn’t bore of it at all. The writing was good and I liked that Gai

I wanted to like this story, and I thought the beginning showed potential. But this book didn't hold me. In fact, I had to struggle to make it to the end.

It all starts when Kendall watches a co-worker attack another woman then kill himself. He has a strange white glaze over his eyes... and the event thrusts her into the world of spirits and the supernatural. A sexy EMT and a mysterious, masked guardian angel enter her life --and she begins to understand the things she is seeing. Through her inve
Who was that masked man? Why is investigative reporter Kendall Glynn seeing him since witnessing a TV anchorman attack his co-worker and then kill himself LIVE, on camera?

Kendall's natural instincts to help, allow her to meet hot paramedic Zeke Reece. He has gotten under her skin for sure. Her natural instincts to sniff out a good story put her in the crosshairs of evil. She is rescued by a dark masked man with superhuman powers. The closer she gets to the answer, the more danger she is in, the

To create Nobody’s Angel the first book in Stacy Gail’s new fiery hot Earth Angel series you will need to take one smoking hot descendant of the Nephilim, a little Supernatural, part superhero and then stir in an investigative journalist named Kendall who just has to know the how, what and why of everything! Gail’s first book in this series was highly entertaining, completely swoon-worthy and held me completely captive. It is the perfect escape on an icy cold night!

Maybe not an angel, but definitely a hero. Possibly even a superhero.

Stacy Gail has taken the legend of superman and mixed it with the biblical origin story of the nephilim, the fallen angels, in order to create one gorgeous alpha male.

He's got his own fortress of solitude, his black mask to hide his identity, his mild-mannered alter ego, but no cape, because it would just get in the way. That whole fallen angels heritage, well, this dude has his own wings

Angels are my PNR cup of tea, or at the very least, one of them. I really enjoyed the hero and heroine, but I felt as though the romance was quite rushed. I didn't believe in their quick attraction, , and between that, plus trying to solve murders, plus the masked man routine was just entirely too much going on at the same time for the word count.

With that said, I thoroughly enjoyed the writing style immensely. The author is quite talented. But this book did fall in to the paranormal pet peeve

Nobody's Angel needed at least 100 more pages. There was something to the plot but everything happened very fast! I can't believe the heroine just accepted him so easily after knowing him for a few days. And it was unbelievable the way she immediately found who was behind the attacks.

Not sure if I'll continue the series.

A riveting tale of an angel of the night fighting to keep danger away from his city and the object of his overwhelming lust.

The synopsis does a great job of telling what the story is about, so I 'll just focus on the concepts that drew my attention the most.

I liked Kendall as a character. She was determined to get to the bottom of what was happening even if her fear was at times paralyzing and danger kept following her every step. She was a great heroine - strong yet vulnerable. Zeke was the qui

Nobody`s Angel was a cute, short story filled with ghosts, nephillim, danger, and that oh, so adorable... puppy love! Well, more like a love of each others bodies, if you get my drift.
It starts off after our heroine witnesses a co-worker go bat-shit crazy, attempt a murder, then end it all with a suicide. She meets our hero, a mysterious guy you just want to make out with, and against all odds they are thrown together in a fig

Kendall Glynn is excited to have her first big story on air, that is until her co-worker tries to strangle his on-air partner then stabs himself in the neck with a pen. When reporter Kendall watches her friend and colleague kill himself on live TV she knows something strange is going on. Even if she hadn't seen a strange sheen to his eyes before it happened there is no way she will believe that the man she knew would act in such a crazy manner. Her investigative instincts kick in and she is determined to uncover exactly what happened to him and see if there is a link between his death and a recent spate of murder/suicides. Mon avis en français:

I've been really pleasantly surprised by this short novel. What a way in! I can tell you can't put down your reader after that!
I didn't know what to expect but I totally entered the world of this first volume. I read on a review that the story felt like the Batman one and I do agree. There is enough darknesss in the story to be crushing and the plot, even if it's not extraordinary original, is good.

I picked up this book from NetGalley because I'm a sucker for hot guys with wings on the covers of PNR works. I was really looking forward to some Angel action. It was action, but nothing I haven't read and/or watched on TV before. It was a Zoro/Superman, maybe some Batman too...well let's just say it was a superhero story Marvel comics style. The world building was ok with build- as -go writing, so that was a plus. Few times I was lost with the meaning of the change of eye color but

A satisfying mix of urban fantasy and superhero action!

From the cover alone, I was already expecting a storyline featuring angels, or nephilims at least. Truth be told, I was expecting that the story would simply contribute to the bandwagon of prevailing stories about nephilims. Well, I'm pretty psyched that I was proven wrong.

Let's just say that the male lead character, Zeke Reece, is a man of contradiction. He's not really an angel, but he's not rea

Evil is among us, and investigative reporter Kendall Glynn has just enough para in her normal to realize things are not as they should be. Zeke seemingly knows more than he’s letting on, yet he attempts to discredit Kendall and turn her away from the story. He was aloof and tried to make Kendall feel stupid for believing she saw something out of the ordinary. This bothered me - knowing that Zeke a

Kendall has a wild night in that she sees her co-worker/friend kill himself on live television right after he attempts to kill another co-worker. She swears she sees a milky white film over his eyes and when she tells this to a paramedic on scene she not only senses he knows what she is talking about but that he is someone she wants to get to know more in a personal way. I mean she shouldn't think that after what she just went through but it is what it is. She's stubborn which helps her with her ...more

Quick Thoughts for a Quick Book: For a short read this was a fantastic listen. In fact, I think I found a new way to enjoy shorter stories. For some reason, narration added an extra layer to the story and it felt deeper than if I read it. Kendell and Zeke were both well-rounded characters that I was rooting for the whole way through. The mystery was well-planne

I liked this novella. It was entertaining. However, it was almost too complicated for how short it was. Everything wrapped up nicely, with a bow on top. But, I almost felt cheated. If the book had been longer maybe the romance portion wouldn't have felt so rushed. One page the characters felt uncertainty and the next they were all I love you's and happy ending. I'll probably continue this series between other reads.

Nobody's Angel was an interesting and fast paced story, although the plot did feel a little too rushed in places. I found the story to be fun, flirty and a little dark but I couldn't shut off the cheesy 1960's Batman music playing in my head and the intermitant flashes of pow, zing, and boom etc that came along with it!

Don't get me wrong, I liked the storyline and the romance, but overall it was all just a little too simple a mystery/problem to solve. The ending kind of just fell together easily

Okay, I just have to get this out of the way....every time I read the name of the television station that Kendall works at, KPOW, I had to laugh. I kept seeing it pop up in the air like in the old Batman series from the '60's.

I'm not sure what I really felt about this book. The concept is good, but I didn't care about the characters and don't think they interacted with each other enough to get to the point where their love was the forever kinda love. I mean I guess dealing with crazy geists an

What a great adult novella! It had me from the start. It has action, adventure, a hot hero, a like-able heroine, paranormal elements, and a hot hero. (Oh, did I say that twice?) When I saw that this was a novella introducing a new series, I was afraid that this was going to be one of those "teaser" books, with just enough info to make you want to read the series, but thankfully that was not the case. This is a complete story all by itself, and despite the short length, Stacy Gail's character bui ...more

I was not sure what to expect from this book but I really enjoyed it. It is a short read of about 100 pages but worth every word. The book had a feel of Supernatural (the show) and Batman (or another masked hero). I enjoyed the relationship between the two characters and would have enjoyed even more about them. While it is a short story I would have loved a bit more.

I also enjoyed the fact that Zeke is something different but he is not comfortable with it

Kendall and Zeke have a strong, fiery chemistry that is a fun as it is sexy. They butt heads for a while until they figure out that they both have the same goals. When they come together, the sensuality is sizzling. Who knew wings could be so sexy?!

It's an interesting mystery and the characters that feel real, only better. Kendall is strong, smart, and always ready with a witty come back. Zeke is a suitably angsty hero with a heart of gold and he loves Kendall’s smart mouth and feisty spirit. To
