The only book I ever read in its entirety in French. Back when I could read and speak french. Now I'm stupid.

It was a really interesting and short read but what's with the last part? It was totally unneccessary for the story.

Overall the literary work was beautiful. There was a certain something that I've never been able to put my finger on that left me with an unpleasant feeling after reading this book. I believe that it may have been my dislike of Carmen--she certainly isn't as beautiful as one would believe after listening to the opera or symphony!

Read this for a French class. Such vibrant, unforgettable characters! I'd love to see Bizet's opera as well some day.

A very passionate story, full of Roma stereotypes and a sort-of Romeo and Juliet turned on its head.

Divertido. Lê-se de uma tacada (ah, as edições de bolso da Brasiliense!). Relido em março 2007.
