I find this book very useful for a quick reference to the new stuff in HTML5 & CSS3. You might think because of the title that this isn't a very comprehensive book when it comes to HTML5 & CSS3 but it actually is and with over 200 pages of content you will find here pretty much all quick info you need about the elements, selectors, properties and specifications used in HTML5 & CSS3 and not forget the APIs part, which is essential if you want to build web apps.

Working as a Web Developer, I found that Sergey's HTML5 & CSS3: Quick Reference Guide saves a lot of time when you need some reference about HTML5 or CSS3 simply because the book is well structured and contains all the useful information in one place. With this book you have a good place to go for the info you would otherwise get after spending some time searching on websites or blogs.

What I like about this book most is the way it is structured, it has a useful index that makes finding things a lot easier and also it provides some nice examples to better understand some elements & properties and how they should be used. I would have liked however some more in depth examples for some parts of the book but this is a "Quick Refference Guide" so it's fine not to expect that. I also like the fact that it shows the current browser support for the new elements and properties. However this will have to be revised in the future and it would be great if the author could provide some online reference to the new changes in browser compatibility for the current book owners, if he wants to keep revising the book in the future.

I think this book is useful for experienced users as well as for people who just now start with HTML5 & CSS3 assuming they have some previous experience with HTML & CSS. If you are working with web apps that also make use of the APIs described here I think this book is a must have.
