I remember nearly all these theaters from my youth (what a thought!) when they were no longer doing live shows but the latest movies (at through "When Worlds Collide" twice). The Mastbaun may well have been the most opulent theater space in the Western world, seating something like 5,000 in a marble palace covering a city block. All gone now, the last down just a few years back.
