Shelves: aviation
The Clyde Pangborn story is surely one that's well worth telling, but given that there's little historical evidence to work with, the authors have taken a historical fiction tack in writing this book. They let you know on the back cover that they've done so. Their "hometown connection" with their subject obviously fed their interest but it doesn't serve their readers well enough and like so many books written today, the indispensible service of an editor was dispensed with. This is a good story about a little known event in world history. The story is enjoyable but could use some polishing. Those interested in aviation history should enjoy this book.
