I was so looking forward to this book written by two authors who I love very much! Alexandra Ivy wrote the first story in this book, and Laura Wright wrote about my main hunk of a man Jean-Baptiste! ( warning: he is such a HOTTIE!! Tattooed and pierced! *fanning myself still!**) The only disappointing thing about this book is that the stories are just too short! I love this shifter world these authors have created, and the shifter men are sexy, loyal, and possesive..what more could a gal ask for ...more

Got to read an early copy and wow, Bayon and Jean-Baptiste are just as hot as Raphael and Parish...okay, maybe Jean-Baptiste stole my heart just a little more. He's so delicious! (The tattoos and piercings really do it for me, lol)
Bayon & Jean-Baptiste had quick, fast paced, short novella length stories continuing the Bayou Heat storyline. I really enjoyed this book and found the romantic encounters hot and steamy. I'm am completely intrigued by the slow process of unveiling the plot by multiple authors, it works so cohesively...and each step of the way lots of smokin' hot romance and more of the core of the story is explored. Looking forward to book 5-6.

Really enjoying these novellas. Short and sweet plot is unfolding with each one.

4 1/2 Star Average:

This book is why I love paranormal romance so much. It was really great, kept me enthralled through the end and was even better than the first book, which I really liked, too.

Bayon (4 Stars): Bayon was a great character, and when a blast from his past shows up, his whole world changes. He's the sort of hero you really want to find happiness - the one that will do anything for the one that holds his heart and can handle a strong woman!

Jean-Baptiste (5 Stars): I think I enjoyed
This set of novellas was just not quite as good as the last. I really did not love Bayon's story. I did not understand their history. Why they played all the games. But then the reunion was just weird for me. I am not that fond of alpha heroines. This was a second chance but it really because they were not together before.

I enjoyed Jean-Baptiste more. But did not like the heroine very much. Don't like pushing away / even for less than a day. So far I believe the quality of Ms. Wright's books ha

This book was an alright read. Nothing remarkably different than anything you've already read concerning Shifters, but still entertaining.

Jean-Baptiste, 3.5 Stars
This book is obviously a continuation/mirror to Bayon's book concerning the movement & development of the plot etc.. but the couple Jean & Genny were a lot more intense than the 1st novel's couple. They're coupling was more emotionally charged & believable. So I found that I enjoyed their stor

Once again we have Alexandra Ivy and Laura Wright splitting duty each taking a character and highlighting them and their story within the greater plot of the series. Each story links together in the plot and the characters intermix from all the novellas in the series.

I read the first two stories in the series and though it was cool and unique. A different way to write a novel. As I got into reading this story 3 and 4 I began to find it kind of annoying. It became a bit choppy and I wanted more
The world of the Pantera is simply brilliant! The authors have again given us the intrigue, adventure, and sexy shifters associated with the magicks of the Wildlands.

Bayon's story provides answers to many of the happenings from the end of the first book (Raphael/Parish). We learn more about who attacked Ashe and how they were able to get her; additionally, much more about Parish's sister whom he has mourned. And we meet Bayon's long-time love.

Sorry, but disappointed in this offering. I loved the first book, but hated the cliff hanger at the end, so couldn't wait to get the next instalment, so that I could follow on with the story. However, there has been some months between readings, and I kind of forgot a lot of book 1, this book only briefly mentions the previous characters, so I was struggling to put the two books together, I needed a bit of a recap and then I would have enjoyed this book better, but the authors failed to do this. ...more

Where to start, I loved both stories and I can’t wait to see where this series leads. The plot is thickening and the story of the Wildlands is becoming more important and significant to the series which I love. I felt this book had more meat to the actual plot of the series.

However, there was one thing that was missing for me and I felt a little cheated by it; Keira, I wanted more of her reunion with Parish. Her character so directly effects the Parish we got to know in the first book she was w
I liked this book better than the first one, though it still had its issues. First, are the cliff-hangers really necessary? I didn't used to have big issues with them in the past, but the one in this book was ridiculous. I actually heard a voice-over in my head saying, "tune in next week to see what happens next!" This book was longer than the first one, so each of the short stories had a few more pages to develop both the plot and the chemistry between the couples, but it still wasn't enough. T ...more
First let me start by saying it can NOT be easy to write a dueling series like this one with two different authors. The authors have to have complete trust in each others writing, and I commend them both on writing an extremely fantastic series.

Okay now onto the book...Bayon started out the book, and started to bring things from the first book into perspective. With Ashe being attacked in the 2nd part of the first book, we start to see in Bayon's who is behind the attack. We also learn more abou

BAYON By Alexandra Ivy

The beginning of the book tells the legend of the twins Opela and Shakpi. Opela wanted to have children so she created the Pantera. Shakpi was jealous so she wanted to destroy the Pantera. Shakpi tried to create her own children but it didn't work and they smell sour. Opela made the ultimate sacrifice with her magic and bound Shakpi in a prison. Unfortunately she is slowly getting stronger.

They thought she was dead. Bayon mourned in secret. The one female he always wanted, can he get her to accept him as her mate now that she has returned?

Although I enjoyed this story it was a bit hard to get into at first. I struggled with the whole she's not really dead part. By the end I was cheering them all on and hoping for the HEA that these two had been denied.

Jean-Baptiste. With the decay of the Wildlands, much more has been happening than originally thought. More Pantera are suffering. C

These books are so frustratingly good you finish them before you even realise! Loved the book!!! Bayon is a loveable character and I'm glad he finally gets his childhood love! Parish is so sweet being all 'big brother' towards Keira. Mmm I love Jean-Baptiste!!! All those tattoo's and piercings! Not to mention they were created in my fave gemstone! Woo!!! ^_^ the story between him and Genevieve was hot and addictive! I like the story of the Pantera and how mystic the magic of the
Still, my main complaint is that they are too short. I want more depth to the characters, more time to get to know them, for them to have genuine feelings. I know they were written and meant to be novellas, but there's so much potential that I wish the people had a chance to be REAL. Things just happened too fast for my taste.

The reason this one has one less star than the others is because I felt this one was kind of repetitive compared to the first one. I wanted a bit more variety, just as all

Bayon #3 by Alexandra Ivy

Bayon is on the hunt for the people responsible for the attack on Ashe and her unborn baby. The search leads him to discover Keira, Parish's sister, thought to have been killed by her human lover 25 years ago. She was in fact kidnapped and kept prisoner the entire time. Bayon always cared for her and she for him, but past misunderstandings and mis-conceptions kept them apart, but neither one will let this second chance together pass and they mate.

BAYON 3 e 1/2

Bayon/Jean-Baptiste are books three and four in the Bayou Heat series. Each is a very short story. They are gripping, well written, and they have great characters and world building even in their shortened format.

The continuing story of the Pantera, puma shifters, living in the Bayous of Louisiana. Their magic is dyeing, and they have not been able to conceive a new child in over fifty years. Until a one night stand produces a miracle. And now someone is doing their best to see that child never

Another winner in this incredibly sensual, paranormal romance. These short stories have me hooked! I can't seem to get enough of these alpha males. I can't wait for the next book.
Good book. Or in this case: books.
I Liked the Jean-Baptiste story better in the beginning cause he was a real 'bad guy'. In the middle of the story he became 'whipped'. He was framed and thought nothing of it.... yeah, right. It is always good when the couple gets together but in this case, they were together and then she betrayed him for a stupid reason and I felt nothing for them.
The Boyon story was good, and I didn't understood in the beginning why she did not wanted to see her brother, or l
these books for me are good but incomplete they just stop that's what bugs me the most about the book....i had to stop reading it because it bugged me so much
Left me wanting more. The story line is s mystery I look forward to continueing. The story of Jean Baptist has become my favorite.
The hits keep coming. I love it when a book makes me scream at the end cause it just stops. I can't wait for books 5 and 6.
This series is really starting to grow on me. The majority of each novella is concerned with the developing relationship between the main characters, both of whom are feisty, stubborn and totally loveable. The subplot about the dangers faced by the Pantera and the damage being done to their land nicely ties the books together and provides some suspense.

The only complaint I have about this series is that I'd like to see more of the characters who were introduced in earlier books make an appearan
