Well, there's one thing to be said for reading bad poetry: it makes you appreciate poetic excellence that much more, by contrast. I'd had no idea how spoiled I was to have only really ever read the great poets. I'm afraid to say that Mr. Bensinger's book, while an excellent concept, was very poorly executed, and I only made it past the first few compositions because, having won the book in a giveaway, I felt somewhat obligated to finish and review it.
