Ceritanya ttg rumah yang selalu kejadiannya berulang2 aja; para penghuninya akan mengalami hal2 itu saja. Sihir. Namun karena ada penghuninya yang memberontak n mulai mempertanyakan keadaan itu n mulai sadar bahwa mereka makin kehilangan memori masa lalunya, maka sihir itu bisa dipatahkan.
Ternyata ada kejadian yang sangat menyedihkan yang membuat kepala keluarga di rumah itu memutuskan untuk mengurung rumahnya dalam perulangan waktu.

Ide ceritanya lumayan ok, tapi kurang menggigit. Ceritanya tentang satu keluarga yang punya pola kehidupan seperti vampir, tidak pernah ketemu matahari, nah, mulai dari sini agak mengecewakan, mereka makan roti-sarapan [bingung kan? mana ada sarapan malam hari?:], belajar [apa yang dipelajari? bahasa Aramaic kuno?:], beberapa detail agak mengganggu. To be honest I never finish read this book. But once again, actually the idea of this story is quite good.

I always love the story about relationship between kids and their parents, like in this book.
Especially daughter and father( Mercy and Trajan ) and how Mercy discovered the mistery of her mother's death, which is she was forget how and when, and then she realize it's already a CENTURY.

It's unique in a way. You might think it's for teenage readers, but some time the mood was too heavy. The surreal aspect of the story is original to my taste. And the balance between mystery and siblings matters were proportionate.

I loved this book, from the language to the story I could only fault it on one thing. Towards the end one of them says "it's" and it should have been "it is". It stuck out like a sore thumb.
Its a fantastic story and well worth a read.

Hohoho, this one has many elements within my favourite type of books:

- time travel (well, sort of)
- fantasy within realistic setting

This was one of the most engrossing books, I've read in a long time. Read in one sitting, to the detriment of all else. Aimed at older children, it utterley captured me
