Honestly, when I read all of the other reviews for this book I thought I was in for a good read. It does have a plot, if you call a bluntly told "this is what she is, he wants her dead, he wants her alive, and she won't freak out at all" a plot. There was no suspense, the action at the end was robotic, and the fact she would only question what was happening for five paragraphs before agreeing with whatever was going on...kinda made me a little frustrated. It was mostly dialogue as well, and whil...more

I love the story behind it, this was a quick read, from start to finish was three hours. Tabitha is sick with the flu, actually her body id getting ready for the Change but she never did chance in this story but her tiger abilities have become enhanced. But when a letter and this stranger appeared and told her all about her and her parents she took it all in stride, no once did she freak out, even with a couple of murders after her, she never freaked. As more time she is around their clan of tig...more
What I liked:

The plot (check) The basic story wasn't something we never read before (for you readers out there who crave PNR/UF) Tabitha is a young woman who struggles through her life to work/eat/sleep and barely survive when she finds out that she's a ''were-tiger''. With the help of Ty, she will come to understand her shifting ability and other powers, but more than that: she isn't just any were-tiger; she's to become the Queen of the entire ''nation'' of were-tigers. Well, as a true lover of...more
Tabitha Leigh's life has been a quiet, albeit displeasing, one up until now. She's barely been able to survive, and has been looking for something more. Something that would give her life meaning. Debating the outcome of her future, she's decided that perhaps she'd be better off living in Alaska. The idea of living in a new place appeals to her, and she's looking forward to things, even if she won't admit it. The only thing keeping her rooted in Pittsburgh is the fact that she doesn't want to le...more
So when I think tigers, I do not immediately jump to Alaska in my brain, so I was immediately intrigued by this title and had to find out more. I love shifters and idea that there were huge felines in Alaska intrigued me. This is the first book in her Alaskan Tigers series and the first book I have read by her. It will not, however, be the last. The world Marissa has created for her shifters is fascinating with likable characters that are easy to relate to. The story had a lot of very familiar e...more

I have to say this book was engrossing. I could not put it down. There was some romance, some suspense, some shifting and some intrigue. I am pleasantly surprised at how much I really liked this story.

I do have to say that it is a continuing story so the story does not really end with this book. I have the second one already so I can not wait to read The Tiger’s Heart.

I enjoyed the character of Tabitha. She is strong and yet vulnerable at the same time....more
Lover of Romance
When I first read a review for Tiger Time, I knew this was a must read. Now I know that it is definitely a must read for anyone that like were romances. It's definitely one of those that draws you immediately into the story, and never lets you go. I really enjoyed the sparks between Ty and Tabby, there was definitely some sizzling passion going on, but I also loved the emotional bond that forms too. There was also a bit of a mystery and intrigue element that added a bit of spice to the story. I...more
I really enjoyed this book, I don't read shifter books. Don't have a lot to compare it to. The only thing that bug me was ty claiming his mate. Found it was to fast, plot was lacking something. Great read, hot alpha men!
2 stars. It is hard for me to give a book only 2 stars. Even harder because I have already read book 2 & 3 before writing a review for this book and I like them more.
I started this series because it is set in Alaska. I never want to visit Alaska, too cold for me, Ohio winters are as much as I can stand. But I love reading books set in Alaska.
This first book was just not well put together. It was quick. They just accepted and moved on too quickly with every situation given. Tabitha just trust...more

Oh dear , I wanted to like this book and I am pretty tolerant of writing styles . But arghhhhhhh . Could not get past the third chapter. It was like reading the back of the cereal packet if it was attempting to be a paranormal romance .... Sorry
Not sure how it got such good reviews .....

Got to love the alpha males. Hm... They just have that appeal the pulls you in and makes you fall in love with them. Ty was no different he was bound to keep his mate safe. Tabitha was so use to living on her own and taking care of herself.
