Tabitha Leigh has no idea her life is about to change. Until now, she’s been living a quiet life, unaware danger stalks her.

Ty Reynolds has been watching Tabitha from a distance to see if she would go through “the change.” When she finally does, he sees more in her than just the future of their kind. Now that she is embracing her were-tiger, he must tell her she is the Que

Honestly, when I read all of the other reviews for this book I thought I was in for a good read. It does have a plot, if you call a bluntly told "this is what she is, he wants her dead, he wants her alive, and she won't freak out at all" a plot. There was no suspense, the action at the end was robotic, and the fact she would only question what was happening for five paragraphs before agreeing with whatever was going on...kinda made me a little frustrated. It was mostly dialogue as well, and whil ...more
I just started reading the Alaskan Tigers series. Tabitha has grown up in foster care which has made her tough and dependent. This is to her benefit when Ty comes into the picture and starts answering her questions about her past. Tabatha finally finds where she fits in after feeling out of place for most of her life. With her new found role, she’s learning to trust her instincts and use the gifts of her linage. I’m excited to see where the rest of this series will lead!
I was given a complimentary copy by author Marissa Dobson for an honest review. This is book 1 of the Alaskan Tigers series by the author.

Tabitha Leigh grew up in the system and always wondered about her parents. Lately she just hasn't been feeling herself and with each passing day the symptoms seem to get worse. When a stranger comes into her life Tabitha feels like she found home. Ty Reynolds is an alpha and has been watching and waiting for Tabitha to come into her own. Now that he has her he

Oh dear , I wanted to like this book and I am pretty tolerant of writing styles . But arghhhhhhh . Could not get past the third chapter. It was like reading the back of the cereal packet if it was attempting to be a paranormal romance .... Sorry
Not sure how it got such good reviews .....

I love the story behind it, this was a quick read, from start to finish was three hours. Tabitha is sick with the flu, actually her body id getting ready for the Change but she never did chance in this story but her tiger abilities have become enhanced. But when a letter and this stranger appeared and told her all about her and her parents she took it all in stride, no once did she freak out, even with a couple of murders after her, she never freaked. As more time she is around their clan of tig ...more

This was a different type of shifter story. It adds royalty and some special powers. We have a woman whose life was not what it was supposed to be and who is now learning what that is. Then we have an alpha shifter who has always known and shows up at her time of need to explain what is happening and what it will lead to, but he's not the only one who knows. She finally has a family that makes her feel right and learns she also has an enemy.

I understand that this was the authors first book in th

4 stars. This is a re-read for me. I already know I love the series as a whole. This first book originally just had so many flaws from a beginning writer. Marissa Dobson has grown a lot in her writing ability and I am trilled she went back to rework the first two books in the series.
Tabitha and Ty are great! Tabitha now has a inner dialog that sounds a little more mature and not so rushed to trust. As for Ty he now explains and sometimes talks to Tabitha be
What I liked:

The plot (check) The basic story wasn't something we never read before (for you readers out there who crave PNR/UF) Tabitha is a young woman who struggles through her life to work/eat/sleep and barely survive when she finds out that she's a ''were-tiger''. With the help of Ty, she will come to understand her shifting ability and other powers, but more than that: she isn't just any were-tiger; she's to become the Queen of the entire ''nation'' of were-tigers. Well, as a true lover of
Tabitha Leigh's life has been a quiet, albeit displeasing, one up until now. She's barely been able to survive, and has been looking for something more. Something that would give her life meaning. Debating the outcome of her future, she's decided that perhaps she'd be better off living in Alaska. The idea of living in a new place appeals to her, and she's looking forward to things, even if she won't admit it. The only thing keeping her rooted in Pittsburgh is the fact that she doesn't want to le ...more
So when I think tigers, I do not immediately jump to Alaska in my brain, so I was immediately intrigued by this title and had to find out more. I love shifters and idea that there were huge felines in Alaska intrigued me. This is the first book in her Alaskan Tigers series and the first book I have read by her. It will not, however, be the last. The world Marissa has created for her shifters is fascinating with likable characters that are easy to relate to. The story had a lot of very familiar e ...more

I have to say this book was engrossing. I could not put it down. There was some romance, some suspense, some shifting and some intrigue. I am pleasantly surprised at how much I really liked this story.

I do have to say that it is a continuing story so the story does not really end with this book. I have the second one already so I can not wait to read The Tiger’s Heart.

I enjoyed the character of Tabitha. She is strong and yet vulnerable at the same time.
Lover of Romance
When I first read a review for Tiger Time, I knew this was a must read. Now I know that it is definitely a must read for anyone that like were romances. It's definitely one of those that draws you immediately into the story, and never lets you go. I really enjoyed the sparks between Ty and Tabby, there was definitely some sizzling passion going on, but I also loved the emotional bond that forms too. There was also a bit of a mystery and intrigue element that added a bit of spice to the story. I ...more
I really enjoyed this book, I don't read shifter books. Don't have a lot to compare it to. The only thing that bug me was ty claiming his mate. Found it was to fast, plot was lacking something. Great read, hot alpha men!

Not wanted

She thought she had no family left. She was also more the less led to believe her father didn't love her. She finds that is not true. As well as she not who she thinks she is.
Not the best written story i've read. It had a rather abrupt ending like a couple of chapters were missing.
Great world building. Good story!

Good story! Loved the characters!

A good start.

Got to love the alpha males. Hm... They just have that appeal the pulls you in and makes you fall in love with them. Ty was no different he was bound to keep his mate safe. Tabitha was so use to living on her own and taking care of herself.

this was an ok story was just getting interesting when it ended don't mind a cliffhanger but this felt like wnding half way through the book
