A steamy, yet clean Romance Novel.

I have to admit that I stumbled upon Evie's Knight by pure accident and after reading the synopsis I was very intrigued. I remember reading it out loud to one of my co-workers and, after expressing my desire to give it a try, seeing the look of complete shock on her face. You see... this is not a book that I would typically read. I am not into ghost type stories. In fact, this is only the second "ghost" book that I have ever made it through. And I'm glad that I did! I thoroughly enjoyed this boo ...more

I was ecstatic when I got a copy of this book because I had been wanting to read it as soon as I heard of it and the creepy/gorgeous cover definitely lured me in. Besides, Kimberly is the sweetest : seriously this girl is AMAZING !!
With all that, I was definitely craving to know what Evie's Knight was about. Let me tell you in a few words : a curse, a mind blowing romance and awesome characters.
First, I loved the fact that Evie was a college student and not the typical high school girl that yo

I received this book through Goodreads First Reads. The whole book was an awesome read and the writing was smooth and alluring. The cover of the book is very beautiful and it really caught my eye. I loved how the chemistry between Evie and Calvin grew and how much Calvin was willing to sacrifice for her. Their love for each other was so pure and honest ( =( I wish I had someone like that). The way the author wrote about their romance was believable and steamy although it didn't have any inappro ...more

The prologue starts off creepy and dark. I wasn’t sure I wanted to read anymore, but as soon as I started the first chapter, I felt lifted up with Evie’s sweet countenance. Evie is sweet and innocent and wants to stay that way and has worked hard to be a good person. She has suffered loss and wants to feel loved.

Evie’s friend, Kelly, isn’t a perfect friend but a friend who kind of accepts who she is. Their friendship is tested.

Evie has had her eye on Calvin Knight and he has had his eye on her

4.5 Wow this author has one hell of an imagination. Here I was thinking that this was about The Knight men falling in love only to loose them due to a curse put on them by a crazy women. Oh yeah that is true but it was so much more. I loved Calvin. What passionate, protective, possessive and sweet man. This would probably be listed as NA, since they are in collage and all.

For those of you who were wondering there are plenty of kisses but No sex. But don't be disappointed this was a great romance

If only one word could be used to describe Evie's Knight the one that instantly comes to mind is beautiful. Kimberly Krey has a natural gift for writing, and has created a story that not only entertains but touches the heart.

Evie's Knight was a work of art in itself being equal parts romantic, suspenseful, artistic, and unique. The story was very original and strayed from the sometimes over-used cliches of other books in the genre of paranormal romance. I really enjoyed the reoccurring themes o

I enjoyed the plot line of Evie's Knight. The story really drew me in in the beginning. Evie and Calvin take an art class together in college and of course Evie has a crush on Calvin because he is so hot. Evie and Calvin's art class scenes were great. I loved the description of Calvin's artwork. Who doesn't love a guy who is manly and artistic ;) What Evie quickly learns is that Calvin has a crush on her too and romance ensues.

Calvin and Evie fall in love, but Calvin has reservations about their

I really enjoyed the first 1/3 of this book. The relationship between Evie & Calvin was one I that was fun to read. I hadn't read the book summary and was surprised when this took a turn towards the paranormal. There was talk of a curse but I didn't realize reading the first part of the story that it was more than just a superstition. The story took a sudden turn when Calvin has magical powers suddenly develop to help him fight the curse. While I finished the book I didn't enjoy the rest of ...more

I'm so, so happy to be a part of this blog tour for Evie's Knight. I was super excited when I joined in and I've been looking forward to reading this book. The draw for me was the "clean romance" because that is my favorite kind of read.

I just loved the opening scene at the gas station. It seriously hooked me right there. I just knew there were going to be steamy things to come with Calvin and Evie. And I was right! Calvin is a good guy. Plain and simple. He has that protective nature that you l

LOVED! At first, I was reading it just because I knew the author, but from the first chapter, I was reading because I was immediately enamored by the characters. The writing style was scintillating and clairvoyant. The characters charming and auspicious. LOVED this!!! I was not expecting the twist in the story, or the results of the twist. I also loved that I would not be embarrassed if my mom or younger sisters read this, because there were no sketchy parts.

WARNING! MAY CONTAIN SLIGHT SPOILER!

Is it weird to review a book by calling it weird? There were parts of this book I really enjoyed, but I felt like I was reading two different books. One clean romance and the other Sci-fi. Yes, some books go together like this, but for some reason, I just didn't think the two fit well. I like Evie and Calvin. I thought they were great but it was pretty much a tension free romance. It happened right at the beginning and then just had up and downs through out the book. On a side note my favorite p ...more

As you all know, I'm a huge fan of Urban Fantasy. Most of my faves are in this genre. Evie's Knight has just been added to that list. With its fantastic characters and amazing plot, it'll keep you turning the page until the very end. I loved this world filled with curses and epic powers, along with Calvin's heart-wrenching devotion to the love of his life. Kimberly Krey is true to her word when she says the romance is clean without losing the steam, because this novel kept my adrenaline pumpin!

The author's writing was wonderful. I really liked the book setting as I grew up in Utah. I recognized places she described in the book which I loved....It made me slightly homesick ;) The love story was really good... when all of the supernatural stuff started to happen it had some cheesy moments but so do any other supernatural books. This story was definitely original though....a fresh break from vampires!

Enjoyable book candy. Just what i was in the mood for. It managed to have great chemistry without being dirty. (Not for young kids however.) It hedged on being a little cheesy at times but I was in the mood not to care.

I liked this book, but I didn't find it as amazing as other reviewers. The story was unique , but there were some boring parts and I found myself skimming over pages. I wanted to know more about Fiona and where she came from. I think there should be another story with Parker and Fiona.

As an author, I'd never put anything out there I didn't love myself. I really do love Evie, Calvin, and their sweet romance. Can't wait to get Fiona's Fight out there next!
Bonnie (A Backwards Story)
It's hard to pin EVIE'S KNIGHT down to a specific genre. It has the title of a fantasy romance, which is a clever pun because the name of the male love interest is Calvin Knight. Calvin isn't a knight from lore long ago, nor is he reincarnated in any way. In fact, the novel is grounded in contemporary, modern-day times. There are a few scenes (such as the excerpt from the above prologue) that reflect on something that happened long ago, resulting in a curse that has carried over to now. Because ...more

Thanks to Kimberly for allowing a chance to read and review this book, as I have been looking forward to it for months.
Today, I finally got around to reading this on my Kindle, and I spent the whole day just reading it. It was unstoppable. A definite page-turner.

We are introduced to the story of Evie and her personal Knight, Calvin. It's a story of two people who have come together, but the past, revenge and fate try to tear them apart.
Evie has always liked Calvin, but they hadn't actually talk

When I read a book for review purposes, I try to avoid any online information or other reviews before I dive in. Not always possible, especially if I'm already familiar with the author, but with Evie's Knight I was able to do it. So, I came to the book knowing little more than the fact that it would include both romance and the paranormal.

I must admit that the first few chapters didn't have me entranced. The story seemed like a standard late-teen contemporary romance and, although I liked the ma

I was quite surprised by how much I liked Evie’s Knight by Kimberly Krey. Don’t get me wrong; I expected to like it. I wouldn’t have agreed to take part in the tour otherwise. I have just read so many books that sound really good but fall flat – let’s just say I was cautiously optimistic.

Caution wasn’t really all that necessary.

I was sucked in right from the beginning, and was kept interested throughout. This book could easily have been part of a series, but it’s self-contained. And that’s prett

This book starts out as a sweet little love story. Evie has always admired Calvin Knight from afar and when he starts showing interest in her, she is instantly smitten. He is perfect in every way. When he starts having disturbing dreams he remembers the curse that his grandfather told him about as a young child. A curse shall fall upon all the Knight men and destroy the women they love. What he always thought of as nonsense, suddenly starts to make sense. He has to protect Evie at all cost. With ...more

I was actually quite surprised at how Evie's knight turned out. When i first started reading it, it didn't really grab my attention much but it still made me feel like this book was more of a chick-lit type of book. As i already said, this book did not intrigue me at all when i started reading it. I just didn't understand it at all but as i read on, i really got into it.

I received a copy of Evie's Knight from a giveaway by the author. I love all kinds of romance and fantasy stories and this certainly fills the bill! Evie's is a quiet young woman with family issues and Calvin is the gorgeous rogue that Evie secretly yearns for. Calvin also has family issues but his are a bit more dangerous than Evie's problems. So dangerous that Evie's could end up dead!

I liked how Evie and Calvin had an instant connection and that they didn't rush into bed, but I wanted more ho

Very interesting concept behind some of the storyline. Just different enough that I am extremely curious as to where the author is going to go with it. It is her debut novel.
I liked the relationship between Evie & Calvin. It was releastic for me & the kind of relationship that could last. They both had faults & were very human. They made mistakes.
