In the name of research, I believe this book is a great reference point for people who want to actually know everything there is to know about yoga.

Ashby does a good job of giving you all the connections from Khemet to all the European, Asian and other countries in the world. He is wordy, and has a tendency to repeat large portions of his books a few pages later.

His introductions are around 50 pages which leaves a sour taste in my mouth and he tends to bore me but if you trek through you will find a gem.
