Freaking fantabulous awesome ........The author provided me an arc in exchange for an honest review. Well, I have this serious thing for rock star romances- seriously addicted to them. When I got the arc I was so....

To find a rock star book from a new author makes me happy but to find one like this gem was AMAZING! This is a book you HAVE to read, it's truly that good no wait it's fan-freaking-awesome-fantastic ... I don't think there are enough adjectives for me to express how AWESOME this book

I flipping heart this book. In the beginning, I was a bit worried, but it turned out to be very much enjoyable for me. Devi and Seth were teenage sweethearts, with Seth being the best friend of Devi's brother, Drake. Being together in their youth was the best time for both until Seth's music took off leaving the couple separated for years. Now Seth is back in

I hate it when I get all giddy to start a certain book because everything looks amazing and it's just my type of book (READ: ROCKSTARS! ), but it doesn't turn out that good like you expected it to be.

YEAH. That's exactly how I felt while reading this.

Long story short, My Misery Muse is the name of the band of our rockstar/hero's name, Seth , who found out he has a lovechild with his HS sweetheart, Devi. He wants to be part of not only their s

I received this book as an ARC. The release is set for January 2013. Thank you Brei Betzold for the opportunity to read it early!

Where do I begin?
After first reading the description of the book, I assumed it would be like any other rock star book (which i love). I thought it would be fast-paced, showing us how rock stars live in the lap of luxury. What i got was a very unique story that sucked me in from the beginning! Seth being the bassist in the band instead of the lead singer and Devi being

I was fortunate to be given an ARC by Brei!

Going into My Misery Muse I knew our hero Seth was a rock star and I thought this was the usual life on the road w/a rock star romance so suffice it to say I LOVE that it focused on life at home and the real life struggle musicians are sometimes faced with having to choose between having a career or family.
Our heroine Devi is a bad ass tattoo artist covered in tatts herself, fiercely independent raising her 2 yr old son on her own and truly is a great m

This books needs SERIOUS editing. Jumping between tenses within a sentence really ruined any possibility to enjoy this story. It was too short for my taste and so predictable I was thoroughly bored within seconds. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

"I decided to add to the Prince Albert... What do you think of my Jacob's ladder?"

Piercing's, Tattoo's, Rocker's, Oh My! Yup, totally my kind of book :D

Dev and Seth are in love, like THE one-and-only kind of love, but they keep on doing what THEY think is right for each other without talking about it until it's too late. Seth, *sigh*, he's amazing even though he had his stupid male moments, he's totally sweet with Dev and Jaks, i'm a sucker for a bad boy who can be a big old cuddly

This story was a solid 3.5 stars. I liked it but then I found myself way too emotionally invested which turned into frustration then disappointment and then I had to give myself a book time-out to breathe ! If you're not a fan of miscommunication and having a child you never knew about and then when you find out you can't acknowledge child because of media .... This book is not for you ! It has the required HEA but I'm still feeling like I missed something ! I wasn't floored by this book and I r ...more

This book has more issues than I have time because I don't even know where to start.....if you can imagine the issue then I'm sure this book has it!!!

I haven't been reading lately because I was getting tired of the same story line....the same outline that everyone seems to follow......the same blah blah blah....

I should have just stopped and been done with it but I had to keep punishing myself.....

It's like that song you keep listening even though you hate it....

I tried really hard to love this book. But it ended up being just okay for me. The main problem I had was that it felt like there were too many holes in the story. An example, Seth leaves to pursue his music career but never talks to ANYONE back home for the entire time he is gone? I mean I could see him not speaking to Devi but none of his friends? Another example, Devi tries to contact Seth for 6 months straight

Let me start off by saying that I am not done with this book, and I don't know that I will finish it. I probably will, just because I'm a stickler for not leaving things unfinished, but it just does not hold my interest. The editing is absolutely horrific! There's so many run on sentences and misplaced commas, missing periods, etc. that I'm finding it difficult to get past it. Yeah, the premise of the story has potential, and I'm all about rocker dudes, tattoos, and piercings, but there's hardly ...more

Ug! Ever heard of an editor? There were so many grammatical mistakes that I could hardly focus on the story. There were apostrophes where there shouldn't be and none where there should be. Comas were missing all over the place and for goodness sake, it's YOU'RE not YOUR.

It also felt like the entire book that the relationship story lines were glossed over to get to the sex.

Jaks was also a totally unbelievable character, a 2-year-old does not talk about his day without a ton of prompting.

I love

Another rockstar book... with a rockstar a absolutely adored!

Seth is a hot tattoo'd and pierced rocker- yum. He comes home after being on the road with his band for a few years and runs into his ex girl Devi. Devi is awesome. She is a tattoo artist who is working hard to support her her 2 1/2 year old son Jaks. When Seth sees her for the first time in years, all his feelings come rushing back. Then he see's Jaks... his mini me. Seth has to make a choice- his band or his family. Tough decision fo

I apologize in advance to the author for my review. It is very difficult for me to give an honest opinion of the story and characters when the book is filled with so many punctuation and grammatical errors. How can a book be published or uploaded to Amazon containing so many errors? Most of the sentences made no sense because of the complete lack of punctuation or poor grammar. The author also uses the wrong words in many places throughout the book.

The story is simple, Boy leaves Girl to pursue

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Well, let me tell you…I had no idea…Rock Stars, tattoos, piercings! Oh My!

This was a rock star romance but told in a very unique and creative way. This was a fresh story about rockers, their friends and family and life at home. It was also about the struggles faced beyond typical fan adoration or a love triangle. This book dealt with issues like choosing your career over a personal life or your family. Sometimes, as I saw
Awilk -never sleeps-

This was a very quick read for me. Went to bed and had it finished before turning out my light. The basic story was good, but I found the female lead, Devi, a pain. She could only ever see the mistakes that Seth made, and didn't take into account her own faults.

There wasn't enough background information on them either. The little I got just wasn't enough to give me a full picture of where they had come from.

The biggest problem for me was an editing one though. There was incorrect words

This one was a DNF for me. It just had too many errors--which normally I can overlook. But I also felt no connection to any of the characters. Not to mention this was a storyline I've read several times before--which were also done better in my opinion.

I had been looking forward to this book ever since I saw the cover and blurb...Hot Rock Star going home and running into the only girl he ever loved...

Tattoo Artist Devi was strong and independent and had been raising a 2 yo son with just the support of her brother andfriends. Seth had been off living the Rock Star Dream.

I have to admit when I started reading it, I thought maybe I was going to be disappointed. I liked the characters and the storyline, but at the beginning I was having a

**Later on in the morning. If you're in the mood for a rock star story- here's a book for you. The story isn't anything complicated and crazy but very enjoyable. I actually enjoyed the fact that neither character was a tortured soul for once. They loved each other and always found their way back to one another. Yes, they both
This is one confusing writing style.

I guess the author thinks that we already know some of the characters storys or something? The informations about the characters lifes were all over the place and just thrown into the mix as the story developted.

All of the characters were nice, but I didn't feel any REAL conection between the main characters. Maybe if the book had a Prologue, than I would have known their past, why they were the way they were, how they got togheter, and yada, yada, yada.

Okay well I am sort of coming to grips with the fact that I am a fiction whore. Between tortured bad-boys, rock gods and Billionaires that have a fetish for a little rough sex I am fully addicted. (I had given up on fiction in my teens and kept to non-fiction, current affairs and historic type books for the last 10 years or so - but 50+ books over the last 45 days and I am completely done for). - sexy rock star, good in bed and a heart of gold? Why did I rate it so low?
Because, though the story is good and the characters are totally likable to be a 4 stars read, the amount of grammatical and punctuation errors was way too much for me. At times, I just felt like smashing my cellphone against any hard surface that could cause any amount of damage AND dropping the book.

I'll start by saying that I really want to like this book. I am halfway through, but at this point, I'm just not sure I want to spend any more of my time reading it. While the plot definitely has potential, I find myself constantly distracted by typos, changes between past/present tense, run on sentences and grammatical mistakes. It makes it very hard to focus on the story when I'm constantly trying to decipher what the author really meant to say. Like I said, I think the story has potential, bu ...more
