I want to start by saying that I, in no way, enjoy giving a negative review and even though I believe this book had a huge potential, it missed the mark.

I liked the premise of the story but it could have been so much more. It moved much too slowly for me and I feel all could have been said in 225-250 pages instead of 316.

I didn't care for how the chapters flipped flopped around. It caused some mild confusion and wasn't the easiest to understand or follow. I so tried not to skip certain chapter
The author wrote about the Latino characters totally offensively - "half-breed" is so not an acceptable term - but it was thoughtlessly done, not malicious. I chose to roll my eyes at the author and keep reading, but other people might want to set the book on fine.

Really enjoyed this story from the start to the finish.
