Holy shit.
Expected publication: October 2013

October. October. OCTOBER?!

So...far...away!! *cries* How can I deal with the pain of the cliffhanger for a FULL YEAR?!

I will not be a bad person and ruin Never Fade, because that's not fair to Alexandra Bracken and all the anticipation she built and is still building leading up to the release of Never Fade, and also not fair to the people who actually don't like spoilers. (I have to say, I'm such a curious person that I sometimes look for spoilers. I know, it's a bad habit.)But also, WARNING. If you are really a spoiler-phobe you should keep away from this review and this page in general because I do glancingly ...more

I thought this book was even BETTER than the first... It was so, SO good. Can't wait to pick up the next novella and then In the Afterlight!

Wow, you guys, just wow! Sometimes middle books have this thing called Second Book Syndrome – yeah, you know what I’m talking about – and you end up being totally disappointed. Such was NOT the case with this one! It was just as good as the first book. It blew me away!

As I mentioned in my review of the In Time novella, Alexandra’s prose is very engaging. She has a way with words! She’s also a pro at characterization. All of the characters felt so real. Actually, I kinda wish they were, so we co

In a word, disappointing.

I thought The Darkest Minds was awesome, I found the plot interesting and the supporting characters and their relationships with each other to be very well done. I had only 2 issues with that book -- the pacing and Ruby. Unfortunately, in this sequel, those 2 things still sucked and worse, the suckiness was actually magnified.

The thing is, I really liked how the first book ended. I didn’t like that it came about as a result of Ruby’s stupid decisions, and the cliffhanger

"Oh, thank God. I saw you both on the ground and I thought you killed each other."

There are no words to explain this book. No words. Just screams of denial. Just cries of happiness. Just sobs of the reluctant realisation that the sequel to Never Fade is yet, another year away. I hate you too, time.

I enjoyed this book so much. There's no existent rating scale that explains how much I did.

I'm in love with the characters, the ships, the writing, the story. Everything is mind-blowing.

After the events in The Darkest Minds and the damn ending, we get to read how Ruby is doing with the Children's League. Everything was going how she needed to until a man strikingly similar to Liam tells her he needs her help to look for something which one perso

I'm not entirely sure what to write, because Never Fade had me exhausted.
I'd recommend this book to all The Darkest Minds fans, but I must say I was kind of disappointed by Never Fade.

What I liked:
It is still a dark world. It ain't pretty, people ain't nice, and nothing is fair. If you liked what you saw in TDM, the you will like this as well.
I kind of liked the new characters - Vida, Jude, Cole - that were introduced, even though it took me a while to warm
This book and series is just mind-blowing and truly amazing. Absolutely stunning. I recommend it to everyone!
2.5 stars - Spoilers

Better than the first book, which I didn't enjoy very much but because it had a cliffhanger ending I decided to read this one as well. Even though Never Fade was more entertaining than The Darkest Minds, I still had a number of issues with it.

What's what: Most children died after an outbreak of a weird disease, naturally remaining children developed powers, the president/government sent children to 'rehabilitation' camps, but the camps were more like prison, sad face. Wimpy s

I had the extreme fortune of winning an ARC of NEVER FADE from the lovely Alexandra Bracken herself (and I do mean lovely, she sent me the nicest note you guys). And let me say:

If you haven’t preordered a copy, please go do so now. I’ll wait.

MAJOR SPOILERS from Never Fade

Whoa. Alexandra Bracken has written another amazing book to add to the Darkest Minds series. Bracken does not disappoint! This series is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Picking up a few months after the events that take place in "The Darkest Minds," Ruby is working for the Children's League. She is given a crucial mission that involves finding Liam Stewart, her romantic lov

Never Fade is an improvement from The Darkest Minds. The characters were better (I LOVE VIDA), and the plot felt as though it had more of a point. Some parts drag out a bit or were slightly unnecessary, but I am reasonably interested in the way the last book plays out, so I'll definitely read it...sometime.

DISCLAIMER: review contains untagged spoilers for The Darkest Minds.

this book was very emotionally toiling.

the entire time all I could think about was "WHERE IS MY BABAY LIAM?????"

praise God Almighty (view spoiler) also shoutout to my boy Chubs for showing up & being his rad self & also for (view spoiler) Chubs is the real MVP.

This series has me hook line and sinker. Its just one of those books that just everything about it gives me the chills, when someone says Liam I automatically think of Liam in this series. When I think of dystopian this is the first I think of.

Alexandra Bracken, thank you a million times for making a story I will never forget. I'm not sure if I can wait for the third book, I just need to know what will happen next. All I can say for now is WELL DONE..

After the first book
Nooooooo!!! December 2013???? This is almost as tragic as the ending of the first book! Please tell me this is a sick joke. After the last book not only tore out my heart, but also stabbed it, threw it on the ground, stomped on it and then proceeded to throw it in a blender, now the wait for the second book is going to throw it into a slow cooker for a year before it does the same the thing at the end of that book! I honestly don't know why i put myself through this with every series I read but ...more

This was a great sequel. I loved the characters and the story. I wanted to see more of Chubs, Liam and Ruby. Also Jude grew on me a lot. I just love the parts with them away from the children's league. The writing was sloppy, especially with action scenes. The last 100 pages were not really my thing. There was way too much action and I thought the twist was not as strong as it could have been. But after all this was a great continuation of the series. I will start In the Afterlight immediately.

¿Quien?..... ¿¡LIAM!? No, no, nooooooooooooo es ¡Cole! ¡EL HERMANO DE LIAM!

Me encanta esto de tener a esto
LIAM!!! JUDE!! RUBY!! COLE!! CHUBS!! VIDA!! I LOVE THEM ALL!! Well, except Clancey, the kid pisses me off... (view spoiler)

This was a worthy sequel to The Darkest Minds, although it was noticeably less eventful. The plot was still interesting and unique, but the pace was a little slow for my liking. I think taking three main characters(view spoiler) In the overall scheme of things, I did like this book and I think it will fit in nicely with the trilogy. I missed the old gang, b
The kiss was over before it ever really started. A bruising, single touch filled with enough urgency, enough frustration and wanting to send my blood rushing. I was still trying to catch my breath when he pulled back, his hands on my face, his lips close enough to mine for me to feel him pant too.
Then he was stepping back, away, letting distance flood in between us again. His voice was low, rough, "Give 'em hell, darlin'."

“Forgive yourself, but don't forget.”
