I'm not sure how to rate this one.

Definitely not what I expected... quite short, for one, (only 160 pages) and oh so beautifully tragic. Not as much about the early history of movies as I would have thought and yet that is what it's about.

Mostly, though, it's about broken people.

Told in 6 vignettes, there is little resolution, and yet somehow that's part of the tragic beauty.
