The eagerly anticipated sequel to 'Blaze of Glory - soon to be a major new television series.

Blood is thicker than water.
I didn’t understand that expression when I was a kid. I only knew that I was closer to my brother Seth than to anyone else in the world. He was the calm to my storm, the light to my dark. We were tied to the rest of our complicated family by bonds beyond

What is it with these books? I picked up Blaze of Glory on a whim, and fell in love with it. I've waited very impatiently for the next book, and got it as soon as M.Garzon posted about it on Facebook today. And again, I'm in love with this book! There were a few typos here and there, but not too big a deal. It's hard not to love such strong, well done characters. I love how strong and unique Tea is, I love her connection with horses, her brother, and of course Jaden. And what's not to love about ...more

Before I head into my review I should clarify that Garzon’s Blaze series was not meant to be a YA series. Even though Blaze of Glory was reviewed as a YA story by many, me included, it was not meant to be YA. Through e-mails back and forth with Ms. Garzon she informed me that if it was up to her, she would classify this series as a Family Drama instead of YA. I for one completely agree with her on that classification. Both Blaze of Glory and now Look Twice are all about family drama and the dyna ...more

I have been eagerly awaiting the release of this book. I absolutely fell in love with Blaze of Glory by M. Garzon the first time I read it, so of course I jumped at the change to review Look Twice, the latest installment in Tea’s story. Read on for my review of Look Twice:

Please note that this review may contain some spoilers for Blaze of Glory (if you haven’t read it yet, what are you waiting for?).

I get attached easily. Yes, even to characters in books. So when I got the chance to finally pick up Look Twice, M. Garzon’s second novel in the Blaze of Glory series, part of the pleasure in reading was the chance to spend more time with Tea, Seth, Jaden, and Dec (I never thought I’d say this, but Dec is really growing on me).

Look Twice picks up exactly where Blaze of Glory ended, with Tea and Jaden having to negotiate their family’s reaction to their relationship (which is complicated when yo

I loved this book.

Partway into it, I wasn’t sure I was going to like it as much as I’d loved the first book. The passion in Blaze of Glory, and all the horse-related scenes, made it one of my all-time favorite books. As I read Look Twice I was waiting sort of unconsciously for more of that type of action to take place, but before I knew it I was completely wrapped up in this very emotional story of an unusual family who, despite it all, love each other. I love finding books that you can lose you

I thoroughly enjoyed Garzon's first book, Blaze of Glory. So, I was excited to continue the story with Look Twice. Tea and Seth are twins and Jaden and Tea are in love. Unfortunately, Tea and Jaden have been raised as cousins, so the family is having a really hard time accepting their relationship. In Look Twice, they are still trying to find their way, get their families to accept them, and face every other hurdle set before them.

Seth has decided he would like to find his biological father. Eve

I devoured the first book in the series, and when the second book came out, I knew I had to read it. And all I can say is that as much as I relished the first book, the second book was as good if not better. Sometimes sequels do not live up to expectations, but M. Garzon is a master at telling stories and developing characters. While one can easily jump into this second book and comprehend the dynamics of what is happening, reading the first book in the series will deepen the reader's gratificat ...more
First, I have to say I LOVED Blaze of Glory. I really connected to the characters and fell in love with the male lead. The characters are real, have dimension and their emotions come across easily. I was very excited to get started on the sequel. I read Look Twice in two days. A surprising feat when you have two little boys at home. I was really anxious to see what was going to happen next.

Look Twice does have a different tone than Blaze. I asked Garzon about this and she said she wanted this bo
What intrigues me about this novel is that it admittedly is not one of the most exciting books that I have ever read. Okay, okay… don’t freak! What that means is this book is not filled with murder, sex, mystery, etc… some of the things we come to expect when we think of an “exciting book.” Now that we have cleared that up…. Much like the first installment, I was unable to put this book down. Clearly, Garzon held my interest as I read the entire novel, all 300+ pages, in one day. Even then, I fe ...more

I didn't think this book was as interesting as the first one, but I usually feel that way with the second book in series. I always feel like the second is the filler in the series. But it was also different from the first in the way that you saw the characters mature and grow from the first book and how they dealt with new struggles. I feel like Tea is just a magnet for anything bad and sometimes I would be okay with it if it was even spaced out and keeps with the story but it annoys me in this ...more

I read Look Twice, in exchange for review from Tomoson. The book was written by m. garzon and published by Petal Press. This is a sequel to Blaze of Glory. I received a Kindle Edition.

I did not read the first book and now wish I did. I did buy the first book in 2012. Now I have incentive to read it. The first few pages listed a lot of characters and I wasn't sure how they was connected. Was very overwhelming. I love to read, so I was not going to let not having the first book stop me from readin
I received the book for free through Goodreads First Reads. Thank you for the chance to win!

Wow! I wasn't sure about this book, it was the first one of the Blaze books I have read, but I am so glad I was able to read it!

The first few chapters were tricky, getting to know whos-who without reading book 1, but after that, and the scene where I was like Tea and Jaden, cousins, umm? But I quickly fell in love with the pair, and all of the characters. After the first five chapters or so and I found o

The second installment in the Blaze series is less about a whirlwind romance and more about growing up. Tea and Jaden are dealing with the nuclear fallout of their forbidden romance all while Tea is trying to build up her horsey resume. Any equestrian can relate to that dilemma. Add to that Seth's amazing side story and you've got one enthralling read.

In this squeal we are reunited with Tea and Jaden out star cross lovers who have now made their relationship public and dealing with the fall out. Along with this we get to know Seth more Tea's twin brother. Seth himself is dealing with life issues unsure of what he wants in life should he go to college or get out and experience life itself this decision is further complicate with the fact that he wants to find his biological father. All this drama made for a very interesting read. I would defin ...more

I loved this second book in the Blaze of Glory series! Garzon is a great writer, and she really develops her characters well. There isn't anything supernatural or magical here; it's just a great story through and through. I can't wait to read the next book, Renaissance Man. In fact, I'll be starting it momentarily :)

Note: I read the Kindle edition of this and I only found one typo. Pretty good for an ebook!
I read the first book (Blaze of Glory) and I loved it. This book was just as good. It really delved deeper into the characters and the relationships between those characters. I love all of the familial drama and the back and forth between them. I highly recommend it.
I loved this book!!! It's quite different from Blaze of Glory, but I still thought it was good. I've grown to love each character even more and have a better understanding of the plot line. Can't wait for the next book.

Great story! Starting book three!
I love this book! I do have to say I enjoyed the first book, Blaze of Glory, better, but this book is still fantastic.

After several years of toiling as a business consultant, she turned to writing in a desperate bid to regain her sanity.
