While I refuse to find any poetry just outright bad, this poetry wasn't entirely to my liking. However, it really did have a certain charm to it, and exactly the kind of charm you would expect from a book titled "Verse for the Adult Child." Some poems had silly rhymes and silly form when the subject matter wasn't so silly and this juxtaposition really worked for the overall theme. This was a Goodreads Giveaway book I won. It was pretty good I'll admit though at first I was skeptical given poetry to be so far from my genre. I wanted to give it a try and apparently fate did as well because I won the book. I liked some poems in the book more than others naturally but many were thought provoking and I can appreciate a book that can do that. Overall pretty good book.

This was a first reads for me, and I was pleasantly surprised at how good these poems are. I enjoy poetry, so this was good for me. I highly recommend this book.
