An intriguing historical romance that will captivate you! Taken from my review at

Pia Caranza, a Basque beauty, has spent her whole life in Guernica, with her mother, Zurine, and her older sister, Elixabete. The local priest, Father Ignacio, is intent on having the children learn English. Since Pia excels in this endeavor, he has her teaching the young children in the area. She has not seen her father in thirteen years. That was when he and their next door neighbor left for Am
Our story begins in Guernica, Spain in 1897. Our heroine, Pia Alegria is helping her students learn English. Pia's father had left Spain 14 years before to make money to send for his family. Soon, he would send for them, but Pia nad her mother and sister are so nervous because its been 14 years since they have all been together. Pia and her sister were young children when their father left.
The trip from Spain is long and exhausting. But they finally make it to Boise. They were told to help at

She's everything a good woman should be: tiny, compliant, innocent, exotic, great in bed AND a virgin. Does as she's told, speaks only when spoken to and is just intelligent enough to hold a cute conversation. The guy is of course an asshole who sleeps around and never apologizes for being a jerk yet she loves him anyway. The story had potential but the protagonists made me sort of ill. Same for the picture on the cover.
I see books like this in every store that I go to and I finally decided to try one. Well, I have never read anything like it before and I will probably never read it again, but it was a very nice light read.
