"Remember when we made that deal that I would pretend to date you in exchange for a favor? Well, I’m cashing it in now. Don’t ever leave me. Don’t let me go. Always stay with me.”
Sweet. Youthful. Hilarious.
Ashton Summers and Luca Byron were best of friends until a tragedy caused their friendship to fall apart seven years ago. Ashton made new friends, joined the cheerleading team, and hung out with the popular kids while Luca made weird friends, formed a garage band, and became a social outcast....more

I really enjoyed this book!! I think Luca is so sweet and sexy and cant help but love him!! As much as ashton treats him like shit he still trys to break down her walls and trys to become her friend again!! After he pushed her away after his dad died she finally stops trying with him and turns to the "popular "kids but in doing that she became a huge stuck up bitch!! She ONLY care about being popular!!! And she just gets pleasure in talking down to people including Luca and his friends but once...more

There is no way I could rate or review my own book without being biased, so instead I decided to use this space to:

2) Write a few fun facts about 'Impossible' because sometimes I have a bad memory and I will probably forget these myself in a few weeks. :P

Impossible was a quick read for me, and I enjoyed it. :)
While I did enjoy Impossible, there were a couple of things that I think could've been done differently. First, I would have preferred that this book had been written in third person rather than first. I felt that first person made both Luca and Ashton seem very shallow, and it made it harder to like them...especially Ashton. Second, I wish that the topic of bullying had been handled better. This book is sweet and annoying and stupid but nice at the same time. Annoyed how stupid Ashy can be. But, uhm, I think you couldn't blame her? For what she did? Maybe, Just maybe, she did all that because, for people in middle school or high school or whatever, Popularity is really more important than anything. Stupid, I know, but still. Hmm. But I liked this book. Just annoyed how stubborn they can be.
So I feel this strange affinity with Komal Kant. We've never met or spoken, but we both released our first books within weeks of each other, and now (like we freaking planned it), we've released our new books within days of each other.
So, I've had this in my to-read pile for awhile and I thought last night, "you need to do this shit, Autumn." And I did and I am so glad. Love the story. Love the characters. Love the writing.

Impossible,Was a book I read ironically right after I read Falling For Hadie.Which shows you that you do not need to read them in order.I will admit I had a hard time liking Ashton in the beginning. She was mean. She was cruel.I said self..there is no way possible that you can like her.Well I was wrong.Because I did end up liking her once she made some major changes.Luca and Ashton both grew up together but grew apart during the years due to tragedy and them running with different crowds.Ashton i...more
I read this book in one day. It made my ridiculously long train ride incredibly short :)
At first I didn't like either of the MCs. They were just so mean to each other. I was worried that the entire book would be like that, but something intrigued me and so I read on. Man, I'm SO glad I did. I grew to love the MCs at about the same pace they fell for each other. As each angry layer was peeled away you began to see how history had shaped their relationship and their lives.

Impossible is a Y.A. contemporary romance by author Komal Kant. Impossible has a very cliche boy and girl next door story-line, where both characters hate each others guts but have a mysterious past in which both of them used to be friends. The reasoning behind the end of their friendship is unknown at the beginning, but as we learn more about Ashton and Luca's history together, you can't help but wishing for a romantic reunion!

I thought that Impossible was a really good example of a book in the YA genre. Ashton and her next door neighbour Luca were the best of friends until his dad died. In his grief, Luca turned his back on Ashton and she found new friends and moved on. Now Luca dresses like a goth and Ashton is going out for cheerleading captain. Being popular and having a good image is the most important thing to her. When Ashton suffers a fall in popularity she strikes on an idea to get back into the popular crowd...more
2.5 stars really. Alright so I thought I was going to absolutely hate this book. I mean in the first few pages the main girl is narrating and thinks "I frowned at how long the grass has become. Not having a man around definitely showed." Really? Cause women can't mow a lawn. My mom or sister or myself have never been able to grasp the lawnmower. It is a mans job! So I thought great this book it going to be amazing! Women can't do anything. Somehow though I did enjoy it. It is not a great book, b...more
Luca is such a wonderful, sweet, and caring person. I like Ashton but she has a tendency to worry too much what others think of her. But I can understand to some degree, she's scared people will all eventually leave her. This book definitely shows that appearances do not speak for the people. Luca and his friends are the Rockers and do not fit into what the popular people think they should look like. They want to be individuals and they do not care that they do not fit into others views. Everyon...more

Oh God, where do I start? Well, maybe I should start with this: typical American high school. No offense to my fellow bookworms who are AmericanI have relatives in the States, so please don't hunt them.
I don't know if the system of schools in the United States goes by these stereotypes. Movies, books and some reality shows that in every school in the US, there is this cheerleader captain who is as bitch as hell, the best friend who is also a cheerleader, the high school quarterback and...more

Okay, to be perfectly honest, there is nothing that special about this book. The grammar and overuse of commas annoyed me in the first few chapters, I even went back to my iBooks library to look for someting better to read. I'm glad I changed my mind. I got HOOKED immediately after, and even fought with my dad because his tablet's battery was dead and he wanted to keep reading his ebook using my iPad. Well, I did too. Five hours of reading Impossible drove me crazy. This is definitely one of the...more
I really enjoyed reading this book, it had me hooked from the start and it only took me a day to read. I wasn't too fond of Ashton's character in the beginning, her attitude really grated on my nerves and I kept thinking that this girl needs to change her attitude or this book is going to suck. I read another readers review who said that the author should have focused a bit more attention on Ashton's change from mean girl to good girl and I agree with them, the events in the book take place roug...more
I'm such a junkie for a loved-since-childhood romance! Though I had a lot of problems with this book, I read on to the end because the adorable Luca and the beautiful but shallow Ashton had been so close as children, and each had a special place in each other's heart. You just long to see them together. Tragedy and different goals have broken them apart. Ashton is a snob and one of the "popular" crowd in school: this is what she lives for. The author takes a chance by making Ashton so unlikeable...more
I’m really glad I gave Impossible a chance because I ended up really enjoying it. It turned out to be a much more powerful and emotional read than I initially thought it would be. The idea at the start of the book kind of reminded me of the 1990s movie Drive Me Crazy, but it was different enough that the similarities were only general.
I liked Luca right away. Just something about him drew me in. He seemed to have a good heart, and when I saw him out there mowing their lawn, I knew I was hooked....more
I have said it on Twitter, and I will say it again on Goodreads as well as Amazon.
This book is a great Debut novel for Komal Lewis. I see many great things coming from her and I do look forward to reading more of her work.
I was fortunate to receive an advanced copy of this story from Komal herself and I am sorry that I was unable to finish it in time to give real feedback to her before its release.

When I first discovered this book in the blogisphere world I knew that I had to get my hands on it- despite contemporary not being my 'go-to' genre (that belongs to YA paranormal)- There was something about this book that just called to me and pulled me out of my comfort zone and am I really glad that it did!
I really liked male main, Luca- think of any bad boy in YA (whether it be Jace, Daemon- whoever) and make him humble/ low-key and you have Luca. Luca never felt the need to flaunt himself o...more

I want to start off this review with some honesty - when people pick up indie author's, they tend to be hesitant. What am I going to get out of this? Can this person really write a "good" story? What if I don't like it? All these thoughts are normal. However, Komal Lewis's debut novel will leave you with these answers: I got an awesome, well-rounded story. She can really write and leave me wanting more. I loved it!
I got to read the book prior to everyone else (Yes, I'm bragging).

I have a thing for redeemed bad girls and I liked the writing of this book. It's really well done. The only problem is I really hated what happened. I enjoyed reading it, but it really isn't a good book.
Ashton and Luca's BFF relationship broke up when Luca's dad died. Neither of them handled it well and it resulted in a, “Who needs him/her?” attitude. Their mothers however, are of a different opinion and try to get the two talking again. But Ashton and Luca haven't spoken in 7 years an...more

Ok, I'm not 100% sure why, but I liked this story more than I expected.
First of all Luca was hot! And he was a pretty decent guy which I can always appreciate. Also when it came to defending Ash he was really protective and somehow always there. It didn't hurt that he had the whole gorgeous, built, sensitive, funny, musician thing going for him either... ;P

I had a really hard time getting into this book. This isn't the first time I've read a book written in the first person. But it was the first time I had a hard time getting into it. It almost felt robotic.. Especially how Ashton explained her every step, and it all started with "I". Like- I walked to the front door. I opened the front door. I walked into the house.
I'll come back later and add a real example.
After having to mentally change things in my head as I read. I did obviously manage to...more

Well that was sweet, angsty & frustrating, with a dose of sexy all rolled into one. It was kinda like a mash-up of the movies Can't buy me Love, Drive me crazy & Mean Girls, but it worked.

Frankly, "Impossible" didn't have perfectly well-created characters. The story was super plain and simple. However, I couldn't tear myself of the book.
It was a story about boy/girl next door who used to be best friend but some unfortunate thing drifted them apart. Now they couldn't stand each other; they hated but at the same time attracted to one another. So it must have a huge conflict/puzzle in it which somehow had solved in less than one chapter. That disappointed me. The plot was run around...more

I probably would've given this at the very least a three star, if not for hating one of the main characters. Honestly, I could barely stomache some parts the the book and I had to keep putting it down. I couldn't bring myself to read any more of it until I had cooled down.
Ashton is the biggest, most stuck-up effing bitch-princess I have ever had to read from their point of view. I bet Kance would be worse, but I (thank god!) didn't have to read from her point of view. Ashton is just... yikes.

I knew I was going to have a rough time with this early on. Not the best phrasing, some questionable wording choices, choppy storytelling, etc, but I pressed on nonetheless. I love the boy/girl next door thing, always have, so I kept going just for the story.

It was a quick, entertaining read about second chances, love and trust. I had some problem connecting with Ashton because she can be a real bitch sometimes but I very much like Luca. The pacing was kind of slow at first and then it went pretty fast, it left me with an "i want more" mantra.
It's the usual cliché clash of the cliques but there's a reason why something is cliché, right? Everyone digs it. Anyway, there was just some part near the end that annoyed me but the rest was good and i had...more
