Let’s just say I spent the entire book on pins and needles. The End. Nope, not enough. It was a great book! What a stunningly grand finale this one is to the Deadly Reunions series! As you may recall, I’ve now read six books by Lynette, with the first in this series (When the Smoke Clears) being my favorite of them all…until I read this one. Which ties with book 1. Both unbelievably good.
As readers of the first books in the series will hopefully remember, each book has its own complete suspense

This may be my favorite book in Lynette Eason’s Deadly Reunions Series. I enjoyed all books very much, but the main characters in “When a Secret Kills” are my favorites.
And finally we read the conclusion of the big mystery. You may be in for a surprise, although I started to suspect how the ending would be while devouring this story.
If you haven’t read any of the books in this series, then I recommend you start with the first book and take time to read the whole series in one sitting. It’s defi

After reading When the Smoke Clears and When a Heart Stops, I was really anticipating When a Secret Kills - the conclusion to Lynette Eason's Deadly Reunion series. Let me say, it definitely met my expectations (which were really high) and When a Secret Kills just may be my favorite of the series.

Jillian and Colton were great main characters. I liked them from t

Jillian Carter returns to her hometown in Columbia, SC to finally face her fears. On her high school graduation night, 10 years prior, she took off. Now, with her friends in danger, she returns to find the truth and to put an end to always looking over her shoulder. When it becomes very apparent that someone wants her dead, will Jillian have faith and courage to see it through to the end?

I will have to admit, the reason I wanted to read the first one in this series was because the author lives a

Talk about a twist from what I thought the ending was going to be! A suspenseful conclusion to a three book series that can has kept me on my toes.

I have been waiting for Jillian’s story for three novels now. She has been the reason and the driving forward behind what our killer has aimed for. It takes courage for her to come back and face the man who she believes to be after her life and the girl doesn’t get much of a break!

It seemed with this title, there needed to be an explosion or death th

Wow, what a thrilling book! I really didn't know how to comment on this great read, but then I discussed it with my friend Marian on facebook and I figured it out :) The secret that caused the 3 women in this series to be terrorized and hunted down totally stunned me, but this book is the best of the series and answers EVERY question! I had trouble putting this book away, but I needed to sleep so I read this book in two sittings :) I LOOOOOVED how the series concluded in this book, but I did sus ...more

Each time I review a book by this author, I feel like a broken record because I have nothing but praise for Lynette Eason. Her books are consistently action packed and a great read! If you've missed her writing somewhere along the way, and enjoy crime scenes and adventure mixed in with some romance - this is the author for you!

There is never a dull moment in her books and the twists and turns are what keep me coming back for more. Just when I think I have the plot figured out, the author sneak

Reporter Jillian Carter comes home to catch a killer, one who can use vast resources to keep her quiet.

This is the third book of the Deadly Reunions series, which should be read as a set. Like the first two books in the series, the action is fast-paced and intense. New murders, or attempted murders, accumulate daily. Plot is at the forefront of the book, with just enough character development and other background to enable the story.

What I liked: There's no question that this book kept my inter

Normally I don't love romantic suspense, but would prefer the romance be largely left out. Lynette Eason's "Deadly Reunions" series has convinced me otherwise, that a romantic suspense book can be a fantastic read! This final installment in the series, "When A Secret Kills", had my pulse accelerating only moments into the story, and the suspense level remained high from start to finish. The author has found a winning combination between developing realistic characters you can care about, with te ...more

Wow! This was a great finish to this series. Jillian finally comes home, & we finally get to find out what she saw on graduation night 10 years ago! There was another secret that Jillian had that I never even guessed at. It added a whole new dimension to the book.

Jillian & Colton have a lot to catch up on. It is hindered though by the accusation that Jillian makes against a relative of Coltons. I was glad to see though that he stuck around & they did work on the things between them.

This is the third book in a trilogy, and what a great ending. You really should start with book one and read them in order as the story is continued, albeit from different characters' points of view. I liked the fact that while each book is a complete story in itself starring it's own set of characters, there is a bigger story overall that runs through all three books.

It all started graduation night. Why did Jillian disappear? Now it's time to hear it from her and solve the mystery that's kept

WOW! I was so excited to read this last book in the Deadly Reunion Series and believe me it did NOT disappoint. This was a explosive book, there was so much action and so much drama I couldn't stop reading until I finished the book. I absolutely love Lynette Eason's books and while I was disappointed that this series ended, I know that means a new AWESOME series will be on the way! I was happy to see how the "secret" would play out, who was behind the killings, and who the real bad people were. ...more

Start out a book with an investigative reporter in hiding, a marriage proposal, and a car bomb exploding and I am totally hooked.

10 years earlier on her graduation night, Jillian witnessed a murder and even worse the murderer saw her. She ran and hid for all those years, but she has been found. She makes the decision to go back to her hometown and gather evidence against the murderer. There are complications including the fact that the murderer is the uncle of her high school sweetheart. This is a good conclusion to the series. There is lots of action and the suspense builds to the end. For me, the only thing that made this book less than perfect was that Jillian sometimes did not act like the savvy investigative reporter she was. I do not like it when some of the suspense is generated because characters act stupidly.
Nonetheless, this book is worth reading, even if you have not read the first two in the series. This book almost stands on its own as references to previous books d

My Overall Thoughts/Impressions: A perfect finish to this thrilling series. I was actually sad to see this series end. I really came to love these characters and this world. I will be waiting oh so impatiently for Eason's next novel.

I love Christian romantic suspense and read a lot of it. Eason is one of the best. She is one of the few authors whose books I would buy without reading the blurb.

Her characters are brilliant, her ability to craft a suspense that keeps you

This is the 3rd book of the series Deadly Reunions. This book wraps up the story that started in book number 1. I would recommend reading the books in order so that you can really get to know the characters.

The climatic ending to the Deadly Reunions Series is a fast paced, page turner sure to captivate you from beginning to end! Seriously, a great novel! Once again Eason masterfully scripts a tale full of mystery and suspense, that keeps you on your toes till the end. I enjoyed the romantic story between our hero and heroine. And even found a secondary character that I am hoping she will write about in a new book!
