Well, this is one of the better books in the series. The heroine is ten years younger than the hero and the step-daughter of the owner yet she is treated badly at work. The hero is investigating the phone hacking scandal that happened at her media house and thinks her stepfather is guilty. The hero is a widowed single father. He thinks she is protecting her stepfather and both of them start at the opposite sides but attraction has no logic and before long they are involved. The hero of course th ...more

Scandals are always so amazingly interesting to follow when your standing on the outside looking in, but I reckon when you find yourself front and centre of one, the first thing you would want to do is run, either that you suck it up and face it head on.

Which ever you choose there will always be consequences some good some bad, therefore your plan of action needs to be closely planned.

When congressional investigator Hayden investigates he really goes all out, he is relentless in his pursuit to

Good book. I liked Lucy and the fact that she was trying to make it on her own. Her stepfather owns the news station and offered her a job as a full reporter or anchor, but she wants to earn those positions. She is also sure that he is innocent of being involved in the illegal phone hacking that led to the scandal of the president's daughter. When she is called to be interviewed by Hayden she doesn't expect the overwhelming attraction that she felt. Nor does she expect him to be just as attracte ...more

I thoroughly enjoyed No Stranger to Scandal, it's my first introduction to the Mini Series Daughters of Power and what an introduction!

The plot instantly captured me. I was caught up in a whirlwind of intrigue and scandal. Hayden Black is a congressional investigator who's been put on the case to find out and hold accountable whoever is responsible for illegally taping phone conversations. The top of his hit-list is Graham Boyle, head of news network ANS. Hayden decides Graham's step-daughter Lu

I think this is my favourite Rachel Bailey book. There was something so compelling about the story and the characters that I couldn't put it down (even though I knew it would be a happy ending). I think it started the moment to hotel door opened and although they should have been foes, the air closed in and breathing became difficult for Lucy. Hayden had a presence that radiated from him and trapped her in it's thrall - I think I got caught up too. Then Hayden's desperation to be a good father t ...more

I absolutely loved the story of Hayden and Lucy and read this book in one sitting. The book had everything for me: great characters that I actually liked; intrigue; realism and most of all a palpable chemistry between Lucy and Hayden.

Despite Lucy's youth and affluent upbringing, she held onto the principles of family loyalty, honesty and hard work. I really admired her as a character and loved how she and Hayden dealt with their attraction - giving into it and honestly, the chemistry between the

I liked it well enough. My biggest issue was feeling like Sophie's age was inappropriate given her maturity level and how long she'd been working with ANS. It was never explicitly stated but it felt like at least a year and for her to be 21/22 she should have been older. That said, making her older would have removed the a key issue in her relationship with Hayden who was 10 years older with a 1 year old son.

I absolutely loved No Stranger to Scandal. It had the perfect mix of intrigue, love and some sizzling chemistry between single dad, Hayden and Diplomat's daughter, Lucy. Josh's son and Roebud, the bulldog also added some refreshing cuteness to the drama. No one does sexual tension better than Rachel Bailey, and this story certainly delivered the goods. A fantastic read!

This book was either one of the books in my RWNZ 2016 conference goodie bag, or I won it while attending Rachel Bailey's seminar. Either way, I thoroughly enjoyed it! It was a really fun fast read, with several twists, only one of which I saw coming. I loved Hayden and Lucy, and definitely appreciated Lucy's character.
