****This book was part of a blog tour, I received a copy for my honest review****

The Viscount's Pleasure house was a very enjoyable read. It was nice to venture back to my historical romance roots and get down to the nitty gritty of things.

That's to say that this is not your average historical romance, it took it that one step forward into erotic.

The idea of three woman from the upper crust of society confronting a known brothel owner to instruct them into the ways of the sensual arts wa...more

I bought this book because the premise caught my attention. While I've avoided all the insanity surrounding 50 Shades, I have long appreciated a spicy romance. What author Suzi Love created tantalizes, yet it didn't quite "fit" as a purely erotic tale. Funny enough, it has too much story, but in a good way. To enjoy this book I recommend shelving any expectations of 50 Shades of Grey. This is a historical romance without skimming over the raunchy bits. But there's an underlying story; the charac...more

In this book I was taken on an adventure of all kinds of sexual acts.

Chrissie Wellsby goes and makes a deal with a devil. Justin has gotten bored with servicing women. That is how he has made his money. He will do whatever he has to so that he can find his mother and two sisters. Chrissie tells him if he will help her and her two friends figure out how to please men that she will help him fi...more

Ok...Suzi Love is NOT just a One Hit Wonder for me...She is a Historical Maven!! I simply adored THE VISCOUNT'S PLEASURE HOUSE! I was sucked into the story from page one, and with each page turned, I was waiting to see what naughty things Justin, or Virile Viscount to the ton, was going to share with Chrissie and her friends, Gillian and Anna.

Suzi wrote Justin just the way I like my heroes, a little bit tortured and a whole lotta heart, it might be buried a little deep at first, but with each s...more

I thoroughly enjoyed this sexy, historical romp! I was immediately whisked away to another time and place, and I was quite happy to stay for a while.

I was drawn in by the main characters, especially Justin, the "Virile Viscount". His is an intriguing, lovable, and flawed character, engaging in the most dishonorable of activities in order to become the honorable man he seems in his heart to be. When Chrissie enters the story, sparks...more

My first thought after reading this book was “wow!” I will admit that in the beginning (the first couple of chapters), I was finding it a little slow. However, there was enough intrigue to keep me reading. I am of the “Tom and Jerry” age so the cat and mouse game is entertaining to me. Suzi Love creates the perfect cat and mouse game in this book. You never know who is going to get the upper hand, the Viscount or Lady Wellsby.
I truly enjoyed a look into the “society” women were forced into; wha...more

Lady Chrissie Wellsby goes to Viscount Justin Hawkesbury with a proposal. She will help him find his mom and sisters if he will help educate her and her two friends in how to please a man. They want to do this by going to his brothel and watching to see what the patrons do. He finally agrees and thinks one look will send them screaming. They all have different reasons for wanting to learn and shock him by staying. They also manage to talk him into having one last Sultan gala. While Justin starte...more

My first book by Suzi Love & I really enjoyed it! Chrissie blackmails Justin, the Virile Viscount, w/info of his family whereabouts, that he has been trying to locate, in exchange to open his Pleasure House so she can help her friends learn how to seduce their men & keep them home in their own marriage beds content. One is married & the other is betrothed. He finally agrees to this craziness & the adventure begins! I really enjoyed this story. Justin and Chrissie's growing romanc...more

What a delightful surprise this book turned out to be!

OK, there were plenty of scenes depicting all kinds of lascivious behaviour but there was so much more to this book I hadn’t anticipated - a wickedly entertaining plot, likeable characters, delicious sexual tension, ribald humour and a rich historical atmosphere.

Justin just seemed to weave his way into my heart. His hedonistic lifestyle belies the fact that, at heart, he is an honourable man. Everything he's done has been with one purpose - t...more

The Viscount’s Pleasure House by Suzi Love
This is the first book I’ve read by Ms. Love, and she doesn’t disappoint. The concept of the story is fresh, and the romance between Justin and Chrissie is well developed. Since I’m not normally an erotica reader, I was happy that Justin doesn’t have any desire to share Chrissie with anyone. However that in no way lowered the heat level.

The sensuality level for this book is labeled “hot.” The term I would use is “scorching.” For readers who love erotica and a venture into the past, “The Viscount’s Pleasure House,” is your book. As someone who doesn’t read many historical novels what impressed me about this book was the author, Suzi Love’s, command of the era in which she’s set her novel. As for the characters, Justin is your perfect tortured hero; Chrissie, an intriguing heroine. Their relationship is titillating and makes for...more

Worth reading for the erotic concept. The dialogue and writing in general was 5-star in places (particularly in the first few chapters), but overall needed refinement.

Loved this rollicking good Regency romance. I love the hero, Justin and the pain of his family's situation.
