The Viscount's Pleasure house is a story about 3 young (naive,insecure..but sweet ) girls..deciding they had enough of being innocent (since that really didnt get them anywhere but the old spinister shelf :P)and finally decided the best way to lose there "innocence"'s virginity was by going to a local whore house to watch the pleasantries........( Christ ! what were they thinking ?!)

Ok ! now plot wise...as an EOTICA....this book was defiantly so damn hot.

I was gifted a copy of The Viscount's Pleasure House when I was fortunate enough to meet the author in person...thanks Suzi Love.

Ms Love is a new author to me and being a fellow Aussie I wasn't sure what type of historical romance I'd get. I was surprised that it was an erotic historical with characters that jumped off the pages. We are introduced to the notorious Virile Viscount when Lady Chrissie, the heroine, comes to obtain his services. Unfortunately Justin, Viscount Hawkesbury, is not in t

****This book was part of a blog tour, I received a copy for my honest review****

The Viscount's Pleasure house was a very enjoyable read. It was nice to venture back to my historical romance roots and get down to the nitty gritty of things.

That's to say that this is not your average historical romance, it took it that one step forward into erotic.

The idea of three woman from the upper crust of society confronting a known brothel owner to instruct them into the ways of the sensual arts wa

I LOVE erotic historical romances, and while I did like this book, it did not grab me the way I was hoping it would. This story revolved around two different plots. The first one was about the hero trying desperately to locate his mother and sisters. The second one was about the heroine trying to help her two frien

What a delightful surprise this book turned out to be!

OK, there were plenty of scenes depicting all kinds of lascivious behaviour but there was so much more to this book I hadn’t anticipated - a wickedly entertaining plot, likeable characters, delicious sexual tension, ribald humour and a rich historical atmosphere.

Justin just seemed to weave his way into my heart. His hedonistic lifestyle belies the fact that, at heart, he is an honourable man. Everything he's done has been with one purpose - t

Ok...Suzi Love is NOT just a One Hit Wonder for me...She is a Historical Maven!! I simply adored THE VISCOUNT'S PLEASURE HOUSE! I was sucked into the story from page one, and with each page turned, I was waiting to see what naughty things Justin, or Virile Viscount to the ton, was going to share with Chrissie and her friends, Gillian and Anna.

Suzi wrote Justin just the way I like my heroes, a little bit tortured and a whole lotta heart, it might be buried a little deep at first, but with each s

The Viscount’s Pleasure House by Suzi Love
This is the first book I’ve read by Ms. Love, and she doesn’t disappoint. The concept of the story is fresh, and the romance between Justin and Chrissie is well developed. Since I’m not normally an erotica reader, I was happy that Justin doesn’t have any desire to share Chrissie with anyone. However that in no way lowered the heat level.

This is my first book by Suzi and I am pleased to say I will be reading more of her books. I don’t get a chance to read too much historical romance these days but with books like this I would like to read them everyday.

The Viscount “Justin” is a man that when you get down to it is looking to be loved. He had a bad upbringing and misses his family very much. In walks Chrissie and she throws his world upside down. Chrissie is also looking to be loved but not look

Lady Chrissie Wellsby and her two female friends decide that they need an education of the erotic kind, and after some research they decide Viscount Justin Tremayne, also known as the Virile Viscount, is the man for the job. They blackmail him into helping their cause.

I enjoyed this Regency romp very much with its well-rounded characters, fun dialogue and spicy plot set in historical times.

Lady Chrissie and the viscount were so well-matched. They’re perfect together, and it was fun watching them

I thoroughly enjoyed this sexy, historical romp! I was immediately whisked away to another time and place, and I was quite happy to stay for a while.

I was drawn in by the main characters, especially Justin, the "Virile Viscount". His is an intriguing, lovable, and flawed character, engaging in the most dishonorable of activities in order to become the honorable man he seems in his heart to be. When Chrissie enters the story, sparks

The Virile Viscount is hanging up his harem pants to become a less jaded and more respectable version of himself, when Chrissie, Lady Wellsby, makes him an offer he can't refuse. She will give him the one thing he desires more than any other for the opportunity of spending a week at his Pleasure Palace with her friends. The whole escapade is far more complex, educative and entertaining than can possibly be explained here, as the three ladies, Anna, Gillian and Chrissie, embark on a sexual and se ...more

My first thought after reading this book was “wow!” I will admit that in the beginning (the first couple of chapters), I was finding it a little slow. However, there was enough intrigue to keep me reading. I am of the “Tom and Jerry” age so the cat and mouse game is entertaining to me. Suzi Love creates the perfect cat and mouse game in this book. You never know who is going to get the upper hand, the Viscount or Lady Wellsby.
I truly enjoyed a look into the “society” women were forced into; wha

A week or so ago I had a quiet Friday night and decided to start The Viscount's Pleasure House. It kept me up a little past my bedtime, but it was worth it. Three proper ladies convince Justin Tremayne, Viscount Hawkesbury, to let them visit his Pleasure House so they can learn how to keep their men interested. It's a clever set-up, and the author plays it out with a heavy helping of goodhearted entertainment. It's all very naughty, though no one is truly evil or mean. I hope it doesn't give any ...more

I bought this book because the premise caught my attention. While I've avoided all the insanity surrounding 50 Shades, I have long appreciated a spicy romance. What author Suzi Love created tantalizes, yet it didn't quite "fit" as a purely erotic tale. Funny enough, it has too much story, but in a good way. To enjoy this book I recommend shelving any expectations of 50 Shades of Grey. This is a historical romance without skimming over the raunchy bits. But there's an underlying story; the charac ...more

The sensuality level for this book is labeled “hot.” The term I would use is “scorching.” For readers who love erotica and a venture into the past, “The Viscount’s Pleasure House,” is your book. As someone who doesn’t read many historical novels what impressed me about this book was the author, Suzi Love’s, command of the era in which she’s set her novel. As for the characters, Justin is your perfect tortured hero; Chrissie, an intriguing heroine. Their relationship is titillating and makes for ...more

Engaging characters, historical setting, determined heroine and kind hearted if more than slightly jaded hero with an ulterior motive – how can you resist? Suzi Love manages to grab attention from the start with Justin, the “Virile Viscount” planning for the last gasp production at his notorious pleasure house before he retires the moniker and delves full time into finding his mother and sisters, tossed from the family home and out of his life in a fit of pique and cruelty of his father.

“Remove that hideous gown!” How about that for a first line in a book? I will admit it caught my attention, although that really wasn't the very first line. The very first line was:

Early in the reign of Queen Victoria
Hawkesbury House in Belgravia, London

So you can imagine my surprise, not to mention the shock to poor Lady Christina Wellsby aka Chrissie, when I read “Remove that hideous gown!” in this Victorian age historical. As I continued to read, this story only got more intriguing because

Too Funny

This book should be classified as a comedy, not a romance. As a comedy, I rate it 4 stars.

The scene of the "gala" at Pleasure House was so stupid that I was laughing out loud.
My only other comment is that the author needs to invest in a standard dictionary. For example, "immure" means to enclose or confine. I assume the author meant "inure," to accustom someone. "Enervate" means to weaken, drain of energy. Again, I assume the author means the opposite- revitalize.

Basically, if this boo

This was a strange read for me. Three women in search of a "mentor" in the erotic arts that involved mostly looking but not touching. I liked that it revolved around more than just Chrissie and Justin and included arcs into their friends lives but it just seemed a little weird for these Victorian ladies to go to a "pleasure house" so they can please their men.
