2.5 Stars Soo bummed because I really> wanted to like this one …

Ivy and Ian have been best friends since they were little, and are the stars of a late night radio show ‘The truth about dating and mating’, as the self-proclaimed experts in all things sex. Ian ‘cockblocks’ any male attention Ivy gets while whoring around the campus as being the “go-to” guy for a good time. Their friendship is almost couple-ish without the sex. A few awkward moments make them start to think of the bad things the

OK, so the last time that I saw a quote in a book that struck me, I did not write it down and then could not find which book it was from. So with that, I am going to quote the author, Jaycee DeLorenzo here. It was a conversation between Ivy (main character) and Chelsea (her roomate). " Look, I'm not trying to upset you, but, lately, you have this really bad habit of going for the jugular the micro-second someone says anything you don't like. You're so focused on winning every battle that you don More...

Okay, so I have to admit, I initially judged this book based on it's cover and title... I hadn't even allowed myself to read the summary due to the fact that every time I saw the cover I thought that this novel was targeted for middle school aged girls. It wasn't until after I finally convinced myself to read the summary that I realized that this book was the exact opposite of what I had assumed. You know what they say about assuming...

Jaycee DeLorenzo did a great job in this book. She had me from the first paragraph and I just couldn't put the book down.
Ivy and Ian are best friend since childhood. They are now in college in their junior year and doing a talk radio show about relationships and sex.
Ivy is the type of girl that just doesn't care much of what others think. She was raised an independent strong willed women by her activist mom. Although her part in this duo radio show may make her fellow college students assume she More...

I LOVED this book! It was such a refreshing change from all the new adult books I've been reading lately. No sad, depressing, angsty characters. And NO cliffhanger ending! This is a full book complete with an epilogue to nicely wrap things up in the end. It appears that this might be a series and I hope that's the case because the secondary characters were great too. The main characters Ivy and Ian were so well written and just made me feel like they were real people that I might've met in colle More...

Whoever said one should never judge a book by its cover is damn right! I must admit that when I first saw the cover to this book, I said "Hell naw! Pass!" Not that there is anything wrong, but the cover reminded me of the 90s. (Full House-ish?) So I assumed the story was going to be super cheesy and bad.
Oh boy, was I wrong!

Ok Peeps, listen up!! I don't know if you are on the New Adult trend or not, but it has been something that has been lacking in the literary world for a looooong time. Nadia and I have recently been astonished at the amount of new books being released in this new genre. Some bad, some worse, and then something comes along and you're like whoa, wait a tic, did I just stumble upon some talent? In this books case my friends, I just did.
Now, I certainly don't want to hype it too much because as any More...

Wow. Just WOW.
This book sent me on a rollercoaster of emotions. Seriously, it's hard to find a book that you are really in love with. Sure, there are books that you read and you're like "oh okay, that was nice" but then there are books that you find yourself so engrossed in! AND THIS WAS ONE OF THEM.
I was rooting for Ian and Ivy the entire time and all the obstacles and everything that happened just made the book so much better. Finished it in 2 days, I didn't want it to end!

Rating this one 3.5 stars. Really wishing GR would allow you to do half-measures but I digress.
The lowdown: Ivy and Ian have been best friends since they were tadpoles. The bond between them has been forged through fire (on his part) and Ivy has always been there for him. Although, she regards him much like an appendage, necessary and taken for granted, Ivy started to see him a more hotter way hotter light. Ivy & Ian have been best friends since they were young. And now in college together they do a radio show about sex and relationships. This makes a love life for Ivy a bit difficult since preconceived notions are all over campus, that Ivy is more advanced than she is when it comes to sex. Ian on the other hand is a bit of a man whore & proud.Ivy might actually get a date if Ian would stop being so over protective of her. Things start to change between them and the lines of friendship are More...

It took me a few pages to warm up, and then I was at it all morning. Read straight through to 4am.
Ivy and Ian have a great dynamic, and while I found myself wanting to physically punch both of them in the face at certain points, I really connected to them as characters. I think as Jaycee advanced furthur into the book, her writing style became much more relaxed, and easy to flow along with.

First of all, don't judge a book by it's cover in this case. The cover seems to suggest that this is more of a novel geared towards teens, but it is exactly the opposite! This is a new adult novel that has adult situations and conversations as well as some pretty steamy loving! After finishing the novel, the cover makes more sense to me and I'm thankful to be able to share that this is truly a book worth reading and no, it's not for teens!

Simply adorable.
This book could not get any cuter, and thankfully not in that "makes me want to puke my guts" way. Both of the main characters have obvious flaws but that's what makes them so endearing. I personally hate it when someone is implied to be perfect. Two best friends who fall in love but aren't sure whether it's worth the risk. Filled with uncertainty, witty banter and more mistakes than two people should be able to make, you can't help but fall in love with Ivy and Ian.

So not what I expected based on the cover and the title! I only started to read because of the good reviews and ratings, but it over-fulfilled my expectations. It's an amusing story with the friendship of Ian and Ivy.
There is a lot of similarity between the character of Ivy and me, therefore I can totally understand her reactions, probably I'd have done the same things. But I think her friends a little bit judgemental and sometimes I just wanted to slap them across the face. Although I really li More...

I purchased this after reading all of the high reviews. I am sad to say, it just didn't live up to the hype for me. This was a very stereotypical new adult, angst-filled story for me. The Hero was a male whore...been there, read that...and the heroine made stupid choices without realizing the smack-in-the-face-obviousness of them. sigh
I could not connect to the main characters at all...and I tried. I ended up skimming most of it hoping to come to a part that would grab me and finally take More...

Apparently I learned that I could only read a book before we take off and after we land. I got dizzy trying to read; I have this assumption that since I have 10 hours flight I’ll spend some of them reading books. I didn’t get much reading. I’ve spent it on sleeping. Anyhoo, this is the book that I’ve reading in between my boredom, and it took me like 2 days to finish this one. So, anyway, it was good typical best friend love story where the other one is secretly in love with his/her friend and t More...

I will probably have to rate this three stars out of guilty pleasure, purely. I mean, I probably wouldn't have liked it as much, but I always think that the "best friend-turned couple" thing is a lot better than the insta-love, so I jumped right into it. I think that the author wrote the story really well, and although it would probably be a typical story - boy and girl notice feelings for each other, make it work, boy does something stupid, make up, the end - but some parts were pretty nice to More...

Fantastic read , was fun and easy to read , Jaycee DeLorenzo had me hooked from the start , I love the friendship dynamics in this book it gives the reader the ability to laugh , sulk and swear at the characters . I love the open mindedness of Ivy and Ian , It's cute lovable and very very addictive . Big props to DeLorenzo for her debut novel being a super read one that needs to be shared , loved and talked about .
Looking forward to reading more from one sassy , funny and downright awesome autho More...

I am always wondering whether it is better to give advice or receive it. Hmm I guess it could be either.
This book was witty and a fun read. I liked the characters, they were what drew me in especially the subject matter they spoke of. 2 best friends who talk about everything turn it into a radio talk show about sex and relationships. Now mind you they are not same gender they are opposites who are in love with each other. I liked the story and it was well written (not cheesy).

This book sounded great and the operative word here is sounded. It took me forever to read it but I'm the type of person that can't not finish a book. It was very slow in the first half and finally picked up about 60% in. The author could have done so much more with the male lead she only gave bits and pieces of who he was. There have been many books written with the same type of story line if you are going to try and do it please do it right, make it fresh, and add something that no other autho More...

You know how with some books, once you start, you can't put it down until you're finished? This was an up-til-4AM read for me. Ivy is one of the more real heroines that I've read about in a while. Her situation is real, her dilemmas are believable, and her reactions (while thoroughly frustrating) are true to a 21 year old college student. I just loved the book and will definitely keep an eye out for future books by this new author!

There was a lot of drama and issues that could have been resolved simply by talking things out and listening, which usually really bugs me, but for some reason I really dug this book and this couple. I can't help but ADORE best friends to romance stories, and this was a good one. Fun surrounding story with their radio show, and fabulous chemistry between Ivy and Ian.

I love these kinds of best friend romances. I also loved the fact that it wasn't a quick romance but one that they both had to figure out and work there way up to for majority of the book. I love the over protective side of Ian too. This was a good book. I just really hated the foolishness in between though but what's a good romance without the foolishness? That ending though had me swooning:)
