Excellent for tween girls (though my tween boy read it too). Carol Weston really captures the attitudes and challenges facing girls in this age group. It reads like a diary, so "chapters" are short.
Along with the sibling squabbles and a first crush, Weston sandwiches a lot if info about Spain.

This book is amazing! After that I wanted ti go to Spain! Well, when i was reading it i thought i was already there! Melanie is so funny and Matt is funny. Matt has crazy jokes and Melanie has all of these funny rhymes, poems and dreams. I recommend this book.

This is one of my favorite books! I have read the WHOLE series. I am really hope Carol Weston does more books from the series! Her books are so funny! Matt is soooooo funny! The book would have been a lot more dull if Matt were not there.

though ireally liked this book, it was too unbeliveable for me. SHe goes on a trip with her family to spain and finds the guy of her dreams and they fall madly in love. The whole thing was kind of stupid. some may like it though

I read this book before I went to Spain just because I came across it and was super quick read. This series of books are great for kids (and some adults) to learn more about traveling and cultures.

Highly recommended for those who are 5th grade girls, have been 5th grade girls, or who have a 5th grade girl....or any combination of those three things. This book had at least three parts that made me literally laugh out loud.
