Barefoot in the Sun is the 3rd book in Ms. St.Claire's Barefoot Bay series. The first two were great reading so I knew that this one would be too. The premise is a familiar one;two people in love, driven apart by circumstances beyond their control who find each other years later. Ms. St.Claire adds enough twists to the story to make it fresh and enjoyable. Zoe is a woman who has spent most of her life running from people, emotions, situations and she isn't sure she can ever stop. She left Oliver ...more

The Barefoot Bay series is a must read. While I absolutely adore Roxanne St. Claire's romantic suspense books, I am blown away by her unique voice in the contemporary genre. I couldn't wait to read Zoe and Oliver's story, and I wasn't disappointed.
Things I loved about this book.

1) Oliver is an adorable hero. I was enamored with him from the start. He's an "always do the right thing" kind of guy without being unrealistic. The struggle he has developing a relationship with his son is played out ve
I really miss Roxanne St Claire's romantic suspense novels. That's where i fell in love with this author. That's where i fell in love with romantic suspense. I was a little upset when she moved on to contemporary romance. Wasn't sure i could love those books like i did her romantic suspense. Then the first Barefoot Bay book came out. I had to read it of course. Curiosity and resignation whirled inside my head and heart. I felt a loyalty to Rocki and her romantic suspense but also hope that she w ...more

A friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself...Jim Morrison

Zoe has spent her life living under false pretenses with the keen sensibility to pick up and hide at a moment’s notice. Zoe ran from abuse into the arms of Pasha a woman pretending to be her aunt, but serving in every capacity to secure a life of love and happiness for Zoe.

When Zoe is reunited with her friends she feels it is time to tell them who she really is and why she has been hiding. The one twist in the tale she
I've looked forward to going back to Barefoot Bay for months and this book didn't let me down. Zoe's story promised to be interesting as we knew she was hiding from something or someone. The last story ended with her running from Dr. Oliver Bradbury when he recognized her at the resort grand opening while performing the emergency delivery of Lacey's baby.

Zoe's story and past may have been tragic but Oliver certainly was a big payoff. He is smoldering sexy and head over heels in love with this w

The story starts about ten years in the past with Oliver and Zoe young and in love. At least Oliver is but Zoe has a huge secret she’s trying to tell Oliver. She does and it’s the start of a chain of events, including a shocking text from Oliver’s ex-girlfriend, that leads to Zoe running and the couple not seeing each other for years. Oliver ends up getting married to his ex, who was pregnant with their child and Zoe runs away with her grea
This is another wonderful story by one of my favorite authors, Roxanne St. Claire. The third in her "Barefoot Bay" series. If you enjoy a contemporary with depth I recommend this book to you.

Zoe is the smart-talking heroine of the book, although she is first introduced in Barefoot in the Sand. She is a layered character--what you see isn't always what you get.

Oliver, the hero, comes across at the beginning a little stiff... perhaps a little serious...but after all he is a doctor. It fits his ch
Barefoot In The Sun
Barefoot Bay Series #3 by Roxanne St. Claire

Once again St. Claire is able to mix sizzling chemistry between the two main characters Zoe and Oliver with intrigue and plot building up to the very last chapter where you find yourself completely engrossed in the lives of all those living in the tropical setting of Barefoot Bay.

Zoe has lived her life on the run with her "great-aunt" Pasha who rescued Zoe from a life-threatening situation as a small girl. Zoe's aunt has a secret mys

When she was ten, Zoe Tamarin was rescued from a nightmare childhood by her great-aunt Pasha. They've been running ever since, never staying in one place long enough to grow roots or form attachments. The only exceptions are Zoe's three best friends in Barefoot Bay, and the one man she had to let go. Dr. Oliver Bradbury never got over the day Zoe walked out on him without a word. Now she was back, wanting him to risk everything to save Pasha, the woman who took Zoe from him in the first place. T ...more
18/10 - I love the interactions between Zoe and Evan and Evan and Pasha. Evan is just precocious enough to be cute, but not so much that he's a brat. Oliver is a fantastic hero, smoking hot, passionate, and immediately ready for a long term relationship with Zoe. My favourite romances tend to include a hero who knows what he wants, rather than one who dithers about whether he's good enough for the heroine.

When I came to GR to start an interim review I noticed that I had it shelved under 'books I
My favorite book from the Barefoot Bay series so far!!!

I’ve wanted Zoe’s story since we first met the best friends in Barefoot in the Sand. When I saw Barefoot in the Sun available on NetGalley, I jumped at the chance to read it early. I can’t say thank you enough to the publisher for approving me for an early review copy.

I really have enjoyed all 3 books in this series so far. That being said, Zoe’s is my favorite to date. I’m a huge Roxanne St. Claire fan and probably say each book of hers I r
I have read the first two in the series and thought they were great. But holy hell!!!! This one mad me laugh, cry, and on the edge the whole time!. And I don't write reviews so it's THAT amazing!!

I loved this book, just like the rest of the Barefoot Bay books. I loved Zoe's free spirit and I loved Oliver's determination, but I think I ended up loving Evan the best! Such a wonderful boy.

This book was a little more emotional that the first two but I still enjoyed it. I love this series and I cannot wait for the next one!

wow another good read, loved Zoe and oliver's story, even if at times I could have smacked Zoe. LOL !It was good to catch up with the other couples, looking forward to Tessa's story.
WOW!!! I think I experienced every emotion there is at one point or another throughout this book! The characters in this series continue to be real to life and oh so believable. I absolutely love Oliver however it took me awhile to get there for Zoe...but it took Zoe a while to get there too!!! And Evan, such a sweet, loving child...he stole my heart! Awesome character development! Not as many tears as BAREFOOT IN THE RAIN but just as emotional. Now, can't wait to see what Rocki has in store for ...more
Love this series! Love the friendships and the uniqueness of them all that work together to make the perfect non-family, family! Oliver is super yummy and loves fiercely! Zoe and Pasha's circumstances are so out of the ordinary that this one kept me on my toes! I didn't know what to expect! Evan was such a inquisitive child. He loves with all his wart and it's so very touching! Can't wait for Tessa's story

Barefoot in the Sun was a terrific read. Full of emotion and depth, Roxanne takes us on a journey through the human heart with her characters and their return to love. There were some cloudy days to block the sun for these lovers, but overcoming those obstacles together shows them that sacrificing for love is really no sacrifice at all. I cried a bit near the end of the story and I think you will too, but in the end everything works out for the best and you’ll be able to see that the love betwee

I was really excited to read Zoe’s story, because her history was so shrouded in secret and mystery. Given the interaction we got to see between her and Oliver in the first two books in the series, I knew we were in for a second chance love story treat.

Zoe has been running her whole life. From her childhood, the law and Oliver. The one thing she wants most in life (a home), is the one thing she continues to run from. Now that
I have enjoyed the entire Barefoot series so far and this was the book I anticipated the most. I could not wait to read about Zoe and Oliver! The story was about more than just the romance, covering past secrets that kept the couple apart. Second chance romances are always a good read and this one did not disappoint. This book was emotional, funny and even hot at times. Many of the side characters are very entertaining and add a great deal to the depth of the book. Roxanne is very good at descri ...more
I think I loved this book the most (so far). I loved Zoe and it was great to finally be able to read about Oliver who has appeared in the past 2 books!! Can't wait till the next one!!
What can I say...I love Roxanne St. Clair. I loved all her Bullet Catcher books ( and wish she would write more)
Another one of this series that I loved, can't wait for the last one, have it pre-ordered.
Loved it!! Cannot wait for the next book in this series!!

Anyways, this is the third book in the Barefoot series. In this book, we focus on Zoe Tamarin and her relationship with Dr. Oliver Bradbury. Now these two have a past together. I'm not going to lie, in the previous books Ms. St. Claire kind of gave the impression that Zoe was the "other" woman. Which by reading the prologue, I learn wasn't the case. However, they did have a fast relationship and looking like it was meant to be. Yet, life had other plans

Zoe Tamarin has been on the run for years. She believes her “Aunt Pasha” has saved her from an abusive father and knows the true reason why they must keep moving from place to place – because Aunt Pasha is wanted by the law. Now she meets Oliver Bradbury when she shows up at his cancer clinic in Florida, a place where they are using experimental treatment protocols to save the lives of terminally ill cancer patients.
Oliver lost the one true love of his life and only has an 8 year-old son whom h
Zoe is used to moving from place to place. She has never put roots down enough to have a real home. She did however fall in love with someone, but when he got too close she and her great aunt ran away in fear of him finding out the truth. But when Zoe moved closer to her three best friends, her past came back. The one man that she loved found his way back into her life. She just had to figure out if she can put down roots long enough to fall back in love with him.
Oliver thought he was dong the

I fell in love with Roxanne St. Claire after reading the second book in the series, Barefoot in the Rain. I have to say this story did not let me down. I’ve learned that going into a Roxanne book, you have to be prepared to cry. The only question much crying will you end up doing and when.

Barefoot in the Sun did not let me down. This is a true second chance love story that will make you laugh, cry, and scream at the hero and heroine.

I really like Roxanne St.Claire's style of writing and the Barefoot Bay series is no exception. I like how she has created a world that I would very much love to live in and possibly be one of the 'best friends' in these stories!
This is the 3rd book in the Barefoot Bay series and although I thoroughly enjoyed every one of them I think Barefoot in the Sun is my favorite. Zoe is a very complex personality and I feel a lot of people will be able to relate to her for many different reasons, I know I

First of all, call me Rocki. Everyone does. Evidently, when my mother brought me home from the hospital I seemed too scrawny and small to pull off “Roxan
