A beautiful book for it's poetry, images, and spirit. Since reading it, cover to cover, quite some time ago, I have referred to it, frequently, for inspiration regarding life transitions I, friends or family have experienced. (My favorite is "Birth Ritual", to welcome New Beings to this world with the wisdom of Ancestors.)
This is our current bedtime reading for my toddler. A couple of the poems I have skipped over to come back to at a later time. The rhythm seems to soothe him, and I am enjoying sharing a bit of the People's culture with him.
beautiful pictures and amazing poetry

These words could apply to virtually all of Nancy Wood's books, from inspirational collections of her own poetry and prose to an anthology chronicling the history
