As Kathy mentioned, compared to Anthony, Christian is way better. you would think Christian's life is messed up, then try reading This Man, where you come across Jesse Ward. His life is messed up! but then when you read about Anthony, he turns YOUR life into a mess! he is a disgusting monster, with some amazing class.

However, Claire, she really fights hard. she deserves much more than Anthony. she needs to find her voice that Anthony snached away.

P.S. i just finished the book and fuming with anger. sorry if that came across. its a really good book. :)(less)

I am 3/4 through Consequences, and I HATE Anthony Rawlings. I started it, because it seemed a different kind of suspense. I am waiting to get through Truth to see if I can continue this. The reason I want to read Truth is because, I cannot figure out if we are supposed to hate Rawlings this much or not. With the Dark Duet, I KNEW I was supposed to be confused. I KNEW I was supposed to have Stockholms, and CJ Roberts gave me a thorough case of it. I LOVE CALEB!!! I understand this book isn't supposed to make me feel good, but with it's four star rating, and Bestselling status, and everyone loving it, I wonder if I'm being too harsh or missing something By absolutely despising this book. I am hoping we are supposed to hate him, but I don't know! It does comfort me to see someone else voicing these thoughts though... Thank you. Now I don't feel so crazy(less)

I must say, it took me a second to wrap my head around the purpose of this story. It is NOT erotica, NOT romance. I don't say this negatively either. I mention it because this book is often compared to mine and it perhaps isn't a fair comparison. A lot of MY scenes ARE written in such a way to be titillating. The scenes in THIS BOOK are not written to arouse the reader and are spare in the details during the sexual acts. I don't think the author's intent was titillation. I believe this story is ...more

Never in my entire life have a I read a book that left me feeling so ANGRY, CONFUSED, REPULSED, EMOTIONALLY DRAINED AND JUST.......JUST.....

Bravo Ms. Rothig! Bravo!

Let me just start by stating that Consequences by Aleatha Romig is no light and fluffy read. It is likely one of the most sinister books that I've read..... EVER. My mind is still reeling and trying to take in all that I've read. I'm still unsure whether to think whether Ms. Romig is a genius or a cruel and p

That ENDING!!! I mean … just … ummm… *speechless*

I have lost sleep. My mind has been utterly toyed with. And I still have no freaking clue how I should feel about Tony Rawlings.

To the rest of the world, Anthony Rawlings is a mega-successful self-made billionaire who donated to charity, is always perfectly presented and never puts a foot wrong. To Claire Nicols, he is her captor. Her abductor. Her torment

1.5 stars. Yes, I'm giving this book an extra half star because the ending was a little bit of a head trip. But wow, did I have a hard time staying awake through the majority of the middle. Stuff started to draaaaag, big time.

Fairly spoiler-free review. I will mention the kidnapping and minor plot/character points, but I think most of this is a given, considering the book summary.

Before anyone throws popcorn at me, let me clarify that I did get the concept of the story. I understood the plot an

You know how I don’t like ranting or giving 1s or bashing on a book that a lot of my dear friends enjoyed. So I’m gonna do what I always do. Another unconventional review in the form of a semi-quiz. Enjoy! And for those that loved this book, I’m only sorry I didn’t feel the same.

I get giddy just thinking about the level of excitement and frustration I felt when I first read CONSEQUENCES. I was a little crazed by the "not knowing" what was going to happen next, but that is half the fun, right? I struggled with wanting to strangle and hug Aleatha Romig for creating a story that elicited such powerful emotions in me. I was one of the first people to review this book on Goodreads and according to the author, Aleatha Rom

Oh, who am I kidding... Obviously, my response would be:

First of all, let me just say Consequences was an INSANE, INTENSE and INTRIGUING roller coaster ride AND I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT!!! My emotions were pretty much all over the place while I was reading it. They went from rage to disbelief to shock to confus

The last 10 percent of this book deserved the 5 stars. It was just so shocking and crazy. While reading this book, all I wanted to do was throw my kindle at the wall because I was so freaking frustrated.

This book was so good!! It’s a dark, intense, twisted, emotional mind fuck kind of story. I thought I had the ending figured out and then BAM!!! something totally different happens.

I have no problem with erotic stories containing non-consensual sex. I'm not a hypocrite; I've written one. I have written erotic fiction for over 10 years. I have argued against conservatives, against literary critics, against certain streams of feminism for the legitimacy of womens' rights to carve their erotic fantasies out of a horrifically patriarchal past. Straight to my Best of the Best list! Aleatha Romig is a genius! I was so wrong about this knight in shining armor. At first, I thought that Consequences would be a book about a controlling alpha-male millionaire and how he romances a young, beautiful girl who is in debt and saves her, but this was not fluffy romance or an erotic novel.

It is the dark story of a strong young woman trapped in a very abusive relationship with a powerful man that has ulterior motives. The author was very brave to

I started this book because it had been compared to The Dark Duet Series by C.J. Roberts , which is one of my fav series of the year.

Most people smack a big 5 stars on this book because it is a bloody mindfuck. I'll be the first to acknowledge that the best part of this book was the the last 15%. I didn't see it coming, it blew my mind. However that last bit didn't want a jump from a 1 star book to a 5 star book. The ending really only gave it another 2 star.

Consequences is one of those books that consumes you…... takes over your mind completely, I've read a few of them recently, and this is up there with the very, very best. I love dissecting books….. theorizing…. coming up with reasons and causes….. this book allowed me to do that in gigantic proportions..… I was in book heaven.... it gave me some answers but I believe there's still a lot more to come. Suspenseful…intriguing.... a cluster of a mind mess. The writing is pure genius.

Secondly, I need to clarify my rating of this book. Yes, I gave the book 5 stars, but don’t mistake that for “like”. Did I “like” the story? Hells no! Why then, would I give this book a 5 star rating? Because it
