The author has given us a short fiction work that lays the back story for a world of vampires, demons, demi-gods and other fantasy creatures. It forms the basis for a series I believe she intends to write and as such is the focal point for many planned story lines. I feel that she did a wonderful job and I'm particularly interested in what will become of Fang, Talon, Layre and Nixon. Don't keep us waiting too long.

This is James "Fang" Lore's story. I haven't read Book of Curses: The Renning Chronicles (Volume 1) , so I feel like I am going into this story blind. Fang is after the man who killed his mother. Fang is half human and half demonic god. The prose of this story is so very amazing. I was drawn into this world immediately. The writing is so good. It is descriptive and intriguing.
